Absolutely, a stellar topic to raise Sandy!
This is the number one goal after coming to faith.
It is cooperating with the Holy Spirit in transforming us, so that our character is like that of Christ’s (less the deity aspect).
It is about allowing God to change our “want-to” and our natural inclinations, so that we can begin living the kind of life described in the Sermon on the Mount.
Essentially, this is entering the Kingdom of God now.
Thanks..........Scott

Could it be a reference to Christ being formed as Immanuel in the church body? Maybe a touch of children born in righteousness.
Gal 5: 4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. ~(from New International Version)
I do believe that children can be born in righteousness.

Paul was a REAL Prayer Warrior ! The travailing in prayer is the most effectual way of praying. The spirit praying within and through us with groanings that cannot be uttered, perfectly aligned with Gods will. This reminds me of this scripture : Romans 8:22, 23.............For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together , until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
And another in conjunction : Ephesians 4:13................Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God , UNTO A PERFECT MAN, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Also this : 1st. Peter 1:23 ..........................Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of INCORRUPTIBLE, ,,,,BY THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth forever.
And : James 1: 18 ........................Of His own will begat He us with the WORD OF TRUTH , that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

A soul must be built upon solid foundations (rock rather than sand).
Through time immemorial, our inner spirit travels with our soul. When we rebel, it lets us (just like the father does for the lost son). When we search for our inner spirit, it guides us in the path towards spiritual self realization and salvation. Through many births and deaths our inner spirit is with us. It chooses our next life, and remembers all our actions in any lifetime. Only our HS can grant us salvation.
The fisherman keeps only the mature adult fish, and chuckes the smaller fish back into the sea. Only when we reach salvation is it possible to gain resurrection to the kingdom of God. Therefore the Holy Spirit makes many journeys with us as we go through life cycles. Whilst the HS remembers all our past actions, our spirit soul grows and dissolves through many lifetimes until it finds union with the HS.

You are reading from a paraphrased version of the text. You would do well to read 1 Corinthians 2:14 with 15 from the Authorized King James Version, and it will be self explanatory. Essentially, there are two kinds of people, spiritual (saved) and natural (unsaved).

I always believed that Jesus was our example of who we could be here on earth. He was able to walk in the Spirit. This is what I want for my life, to be like Him in every way. But to have this, a price also has to be paid, in the flesh, the flesh has to die moment by moment. But our reward will be great not only here on earth, but also in heaven. I am talking big today, because I am not experiencing any big trial, just ask me this question at another time when I feel like I think I am suffering lol!

My children (only addressing the children of God), with whom I travail again in birth (reflecting on his own unsaved circumstance of doubt before coming to the knowledge of the truth) until Christ be formed (the Spiritual truth) in you. Their suffering in ignorance was for him to relive uncertainty.

Paul the Apostle was speaking of his intercession for the Galatians. The example of child birth was used to point out the nurturing Spirit of GOD in Paul to lovingly assist in the forming of JESUS in these growing saints.

Dr. Kenneth Wuest's expanded translation may give us some additional light: " . . . my born ones, cocerning whom I am again striving with intense effort and anguish until Christ be outwardly expressed in you". My hunch is that Paul was so concerned over these first-generation believers he was suffering distress: physical and emotional, too. He wanted them to show Christ outwardly, in their lives as well as inwardly. O that we might do the same.

Paul led many people to Christ and helped them mature spiritually. Perhaps one reason for his success as a spiritual father was the deep concern he felt for his spiritual children; he compared his pain over their faithlessness to the pain of childbirth. We should have the same intense care for those to whom we are spiritual parents. When we lead people to Christ, we should stand by them and help them grow.
