Do you think that those who believe that Humans cannot know everything about the universe and believes that somebody that is far greater than his/her understanding exists and that earthly evidence like Scientific findings cannot prove it, is less intelligent??? Its like racism you see you are judging the person based on only one thing and already assumed that you are far more superior than he is, intellectualy

I'm going through a very difficult time in my life at the moment and cannot possibly see what good can come out of this. I have financial issues, don't have a job yet (still in school), and have been quite depressed lately. I just don't see that anything good can come out of this.

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason ? Does God care ? Why wouldn't He send me some help ? How much longer do I have to bear this ?

I'm afraid I cannot take it much longer.

Please advice me ... ?

My commentaries say the Hebrew for hovered means in a violent way, almost like hurricane winds. But other sources say God's Spirit hovered like a mother bird brooding over her nest. Which is the correct interpretation? And is the meaning physical or spiritual?

The NT warns about overdoing it with the alcohol, abstaining from drugs and loose flings, AND gluttony (exessive eating and drinking). I don't ever hear of preachers warning against the latter. Is it because most of them I see are obese? I'm not talking about the few that are obese due to glandular malfunctions. I have referring to those who's second home is McDonalds and Old Country Buffet. I am not poking fun but I sincerely want to know! Thanks :)

there are instances of people who were executed for opposing the Trinity, but I was wondering if any trinitarian Christians were executed by a non-trinitarian Christian.

From my understanding Jesus spoke the surrounding languages of the time Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. "God's word is alive and exerts power" so why hang on to a VERSION that uses a dead language. The new testament changed languages from the old because the scene of things changed and God wanted to make sure that people would come to an accurate knowledge of the truth - so he changed it with the times. The clergy tried for centuries to keep the bible out of the layman's hand by keeping it in Latin - that only they and a small class of educated ones would know. Unbeknownst to them, they were, in a way, doing Satan's bidding - keeping man from drawing close to God. Over the centuries the Bible survived a tumultuous journey - all because God wanted to make sure man would receive his word and be drawn to him. So, by holding on to a confusing dead language as the KJV aren't we basically not getting the full message. Also, it is a VERSION and not a DIRECT TRANSLATION of the ORIGINAL LANGUAGES.

I know there are animals in heaven. But I'm asking if the animals here on earth are the ones that go there. This is a serious question because I lost a pet who I loved a lot about 3 months ago and I'm still just heart-broken for him. It would help if I could believe I'd see him again.

my question is, if you are offended when questions such as this are asked, do you forgive the offender?

Recently there were questions on yahoo answers about a rape victim in Saudi Arabia .....

In the Bible it is clearly stated that the person who is involved in sex outside marriage is supposed to be stoned to death.....

The same is the punishment in ISLAM.

Obviously any action which makes the opposite sex inclined towards this act should also be punished.....

Why are you "True believers of the Bible" not following your book . Can't you see what you are doing in the name of "FREE WILL"
& "FREEDOM".

The following news from "ABC NEWS" tells us that

"At least nine out of 10 Americans, men and women alike, have had premarital sex, says a new report. And premarital sex isn't new "

http://abcnews.go.com/health/story?...

Is this the will of "The Lord".... Is this submitting your will to the will of "The Lord".

Look within yourself and .... & Submit your will to the "Will of The Lord"....

Don’t you people believe in "Hell" told by Jesus Christ?

We had a missionary speak at our church. He travels all over the world, carrying the gospel of Christ to those that do not have it.
While in an Int'l Airport in the EU, he observed a large mural-type ad with a man, woman, and a child holding their right hands, fisted, with the backs toward the viewer, showing that they had "taken the mark". The text in the ad stated that everyone needed it to ensure the security of their future, and to keep their ID from being stolen, and their accounts safe.
Upon asking an employee of the airline what they thought of the ad, and taking the "mark" (the missionary being a Christian, and knowing the full meaning of what the mark meant), the employee informed him that they had already gotten a letter from corporate HQ, telling them that everyone had to have the mark by 2010, or they would be terminated from their jobs, and lose any benefits, retirement, etc. Scripture being fulfilled. What are your thoughts on this? Your explanations?

Well, my future in-laws converted to reform Judaism about a year ago, and claim it's a religion that is incredibly open to every path of belief. They also say there is an atheist Jew that is a member of their temple who plays the music there.

But what baffles me is the whole commandment: Thou shalt have no other gods before me (or something like that).

How could you be a religious Jew and an Atheist at the same time? I've heard of Atheist Jews that are ethnically Jewish but do not believe in God. But to be a member of a temple and atheist?

My in-laws just claim that this religion accepts everything practically.

I majored in Religion in college, but mostly of Eastern religions, so I don't know too much about western religions.
