My question to you is: My fashion teacher is a Mormon, i know that they can't drink caffine because thats against their religion, but I was wondering if you guys celebrated Christmas. If not, well let's say a person gave you a Christmas present as a thank you. Would you accept that or is that against you religion. I know this is a silly question, but I'm just wondering, I have a present to give to my teacher and don't know if thats okay.

We do celebrate Christmas and Easter. Yes you can give him a present if you want to, of course you know him or her more than I do.

Mormons celebrate christmas. We believe that Christ is our personal savior and the only way to live with our heavenly father again is to accept the atonement.

I just went to a church christmas party last friday. Many wards (congregations) have breakfast with santas, too.

What mormons dont do, though, is use the cross as any form of worship. So giving a mormon a cross necklace or something like that wouldnt really work. They would probably be grateful and say thank you and act like it was the greatest ever (after all it is the thought that counts) but they would never wear it, lol.

Yes Mormons celebrate Christmas and are very Christian
and i don't understand why some people put them in a separate group... Yes they trade presents and are
very family oriented and stick together because i think other
religions that felt threatened by their spirituality had to
treat them like bad guys...

Heck, yeah, we celebrate Christmas!!

And it's not necessarily caffeine, it's hot drinks, meaning coffee and tea. Herbal teas are fine, and if she's into that, that might be a good Christmas gift. Hot chocolate is also acceptable to most LDS.

We celebrate Christmas as the world knows it although we know for a fact that the Lord was born on 6 April instead of 25 December. We remember His great birth and subsequent resurrection and atonement while allowing our little children to enjoy the season of gift-giving and receiving.

We would accept Christmas gifts and give them as in the spirit of giving.

It's not so much that we're forbidden to drink liquids having caffeine in it, but of other contents as well, such as tannic acid that is in tea and coffee. Drinking Cokes, Pepsis, and Dr. Peppers are not taboo by doctrine, but using our wisdom it is up to each person to decide for themselves if such drinks are harmful and addictive.

I choose not to consume caffeinated drinks except for hot chocolate. I understand that chocolate can be addictive, so that remains my one vice.

Yes we celebrate Christmas - we focus on the birth of Christ but we do celebrate. In fact Christmas is my favourite time of the year.

Mormons celebrate christmas and exchange gifts. Do whatever you would do normally. No offense will be taken.

Some mormons drink Caffeinated soda's others don't. There's no official church policy on the matter (They don't, however, drink coffee or tea).
