While there are several that mention respect for legitimate civil authority and keeping civil and religious matters in context, I'm unaware of any verse like that in the New Testament, and I've read it at least twice.

Not one verse anywhere that I can find. Consider: Cornelius was a centurion in the Roman army. Nowhere does the Bible say he had to quit the army. Paul mentioned Erastus, a high official in Corinth. Erastus was a believer, too, who didn't give up his government job. Who knows how many others have served God while serving in government, such as Wilberforce, and many American Presidents?

YOU haven't read it carefully NOR read that page carefully. This quote is from the author of the page not the Bible:
"Stay out of politics."

Those back at that time wanted to make Jesus there king. Jesus kept telling them his Kingdom was not part of the world.
Also
(John 18:33-37) “So Pilate entered into the governor’s palace again and called Jesus and said to him: “Are you the king of the Jews?” 34Â Jesus answered: “Is it of your own originality that you say this, or did others tell you about me?” 35Â Pilate answered: “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you up to me. What did you do?” 36Â Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.” 37Â Therefore Pilate said to him: “Well, then, are you a king?” Jesus answered: “You yourself are saying that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is on the side of the truth listens to my voice.””

I do not know of one.
Jesus said , "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's".
There are some who think we are not to participate because we are told to "not be of the world", personally, I feel those people are misinterperting things. It doesn't sound logical or intelligent that my Heavenly Father would not me to have a voice in the world that my children and I live in.........afterall we are called to be good stewards.
It was God, Himself, who ordained and institued government. Upto and including His Heavenly Kingdom........

There isn't one. God says, "Acknowledge me in all your ways, and I will make your paths straight."
