Did Jesus as a Jew believe that of his God? or is it that you don't fully understand Jehovah & what he really had to deal with & why he did so. Remember he always sent phrophets to warn people before taking action. consider (Micah 6:8) 8 He has told you, O earthling man, what is good. And what is Jehovah asking back from you but to exercise justice and to love kindness and to be modest in walking with your God?

(Leviticus 19:18) “‘You must not take vengeance nor have a grudge against the sons of your people; and you must love
your fellow as yourself. I am Jehovah.

why would satan become jealous of him, to be cast out of heaven.

does that mean when someone goes to heaven, they may also try to compete with god and end up feeling his wrath?

does this make any sense to you. coz it doesn't to me.

I mean I argue with you if you insult my religion but thats also to try to bring you to religion for the sake of your soul. But why do you care if we believe in God? And if you don't care why do argue with us?

Didn't your Gods give you manuals? Aren't they supposed to hold all the answers? Are you questioning your God's decisions?

What are you even doing here on a Sunday?

Okay- will somebody explain to me how these unrealistic generalizations of christians came to be? Do you think we're all gay-bashers, ignorant to the rest of the world? My next-door neighbors were lesbian, and I wasn't throwing trash at their front door.
Seriously, why do the big names in atheism feel like they have to devote their lives to telling us how stupid we are? Do they realize most people aren't really going to be convinced to abandon their faith for some guy hurling insults in their direction?
I personally think that the Big Bang theory is perfectly sensible, and in my own right, that God made it to happen. He formed people out of the earth- and just as easily from organisms in the earth. We aren't all crazy fire-and-brimstone evangelists. Who here actually believes we are?

So, what's everyone's thoughts on this movie. I wonder why churches are so threatend by a movie that promotes free will. Are they afraid of their congregation thinking for themselves? If what they teach is logical and correct, then wouldn't it take more than a movie or a book to completely change people's firmly held beliefs? Please, don't judge the story if you haven't read the books or seen the movie.

So how many of you believe that the Eucharist is the actual body and blood of christ? I know it has something to do with the metaphysics and such but I just want to know how many of you believe that and if you don't why not?

I have read several questions this morning that state things such as: given that, go with me on this, etc. that are taking unfounded or uniformed positions and stating them as if they were fact. Especially about Christianity. And many answerers go along with this.
We probably should check out heresay or bias before putting it out there and getting more misinformation.
Have you noticed this also?

Both can not be true because if he is immaculately conceived then he is from the bloodline of Marry and she is not from the bloodline of David. Joseph was from the bloodline of David but he is not the biological father. Your forefathers who created this fictitious story did not think it through properly!!! Neither did you!!!

After Judge Jones issued a ruling on the Intelligent Design case in Dover PA, he received hundreds of death threats from Christians.

One of the parents of the children named in the law suit received several letters threatening her family and claiming that people against creationism were rewarded with murder.

I understand that most Christians don't justify the murder of other humans, until Jesus does it at the end of time, but can you help us understand what drives some Christians to do threaten death over Intelligent Design vs Evolution. It seems crazy, and no Darwinian proponents have ever issued death threats in the name of Evolution.

Why is this?

and saw me wearing a shirt that said "Jesus loves you, but I'm his favorite" would you think I was poking fun at my own piety, or seriously trying to insult you?"

Any Christians who read this, relax, I don't really have a shirt that says that.

Homosexuality is unnatural, sick and perverted! God's position paper on this is in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. This man made religious idea is sending people to Hell by the buckets, I'm sure! It's sick because it mocks God's created natural order! The sun, moon stars, planets and even galaxies follow a natural order, and so should people!

Drum circles are very popular today and crosses religious bounderies. It is a way for community to come together and make music with the drums and shakers and such and does not require musical experience or background. Many churches are getting in this and it is a very spiritual experience.

I must say I have been approached at work by Jehovah's and I wonder how they can be out Prostletizing asnd not working. I have to work to make ends meet at home and would love to be out spreading the word of God but I have not got funding for it I also teach lessons to children and most of the time the mom and dads are at the lessons so who is earning the money and who pays your bills. I am always trying to make ends meet yet you see Jahovah' s out walking around and they are being funded some how . tell me how. I know you are doing the work of Jesus but you need to be paid to do this everyday or you would not be able to eat put gas in the car have a home. take lessons. ect. and you have to work to contrubute to your church who is doing the secular work.

EINSTEIN:

I believe in mystery and, frankly, I sometimes face this mystery with great fear. In other words, I think that there are many things in the universe that we cannot perceive or penetrate and that also we experience some of the most beautiful things in life in only a very primitive form. Only in relation to these mysteries do I consider myself to be a religious man. But I sense these things deeply. What I cannot understand is how there could possibly be a God who would reward or punish his subjects or who could induce us to develop our will in our daily life.

BUCKY:

You don't believe in God, then?

EINSTEIN:

Ah, this is what I mean about religion and science going hand-in-hand! Each has a place, but each must be relegated to its sphere. Let's assume that we are dealing with a theoretical physicist or scientist who is very well-acquaintcd with the different laws of the universe, such as how the planets orbit the sun and how the satellites in turn orbit around their respectivc planets. Now, this man who has studied and understands these different laws-how could he possibly believe in one God who would be capable of disturbing the paths of these great orbiting masses?

No, the natural laws of science have not only been worked out theoretically but have been proven also in practice. I cannot then believe in this concept of an anthropomorphic God who has the powers of interfering with these natural laws.
