No! No one, i repeat, NO ONE is holy EXCEPT for God!
He is no closer to God then any other true Christian!
If anything, he is farther from God believeing himself to be holy!

No I dont think he is Holy,, he is a man. Maybe he is closer to GOD then I am but if I was to live right like I should then no he would not. I know lots f folks who are close to GOD and they are no farther down GODS list then the pope is...

We are all called to be holy. No-one claims the Pope is "closer to God" than anyone else. He is simply a man appointed by God to perform a particular ministry in the Church God founded for all mankind.

No the pope is not holy, and he is not any closer to God than me or anyone else. He is a sinner saved by grace.
In claiming that the pope is the “vicar of Christ,” the Catholic church rejects the sufficiency and supremacy of Christ’s priesthood, and grants to the pope roles that Christ Himself declared would belong to the Holy Spirit. It is therefore blasphemy to ascribe to the Pope the title of “vicar of Christ.”

I don't believe in god so he cant be closer to something that's doesn't exist! And "Holy" more like con man!

I believe the Pope is a spiritual leader..but not holy.
He's not closer to God than me.. We're all human. God sees us all the same..flawed creatures looking for something more in life.

No one is holy but God and call no one father but God those where Jesus' words the pope is just a man who is made head of the catholic faith no better than any one else.

No, actually I believe that he is further away from God than I am. I just pray that he wakes up and comes out of this fantasy world that he and all of his followers are living in before it is too late.

Mim is correct also. "call no man (of this earth) father for you have one in heaven". What do the Catholics call him " The Holy Father". That's pure blasphemy!

No, he is just a lost religious man who does not know he is lost. The pope is counting on his works and faith for salvation and he denies that salvation is only by grace alone through faith in Christ alone. Roman Catholicism does not accept the finished work of Christ alone for salvation. The pope is still lost and dead in his trespasses and sins.
