Jehovah God never (yes NEVER) destroys a people without first warning them of their sins and explaining how they can avoid punishment.
(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the [preachers]
(2 Peter 3:9-10) Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief,
(Romans 2:4) The kindly quality of God is trying to lead you to repentance
(Isaiah 30:19) He will without fail show you favor at the sound of your outcry; as soon as [God] hears it he will actually answer you.
(2 Timothy 2:23-26) Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights. 24 But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil, 25 instructing with mildness those not favorably disposed; as perhaps God may give them repentance leading to an accurate knowledge of truth, 26 and they may come back to their proper senses out from the snare of the Devil, seeing that they have been caught alive by him for the will of that one
This is a main reason that Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to debate trivialities with troublemakers. Their resources are limited and they absolutely MUST perform the warning work which the rest of self-described Christianity ignores!
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. 5 You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

According to the Trinity doctrine, Jesus is God, but a separate person from The Father. The doctrine teaches that there are three separate persons -- The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit -- who all comprise one God. If this teaching is true, there should not be any scripture in the Bible that portrays Jesus as an entity separate and distinct from God -- separate and distinct from the Father, yes; but not separate and distinct from God. By way of comparison, note that there is no scripture in the Bible that portrays the Father as a separate and distinct entity from God. It would be utterly ridiculous, confusing, unnecessary and contradictory for the Bible to repeatedly refer to Jesus as an entity separate and distinct from God, if Jesus is God. But the scriptures you quoted do exactly that. Again and again they speak of Jesus being at the right hand of, not the Father, but God, thus contradicting the Trinity doctrine. Since the Bible is God's word of Truth, the fact that it so often contradicts the Trinity doctrine can mean only one thing -- the Trinity doctrine is false. (John 17:17) I suspect -- because I believe most people have at least a modicum of intelligence -- that deep down, many Trinitarians know that the doctrine is false. But pride and/or a desire to fit in with the 'Christian' crowd compels them to play along, pretending or convincing themselves that they believe it. Many are thus in a state of denial about this falsehood. Just look at how they answer the question. Many won't even address the particular issue you have raised, head on -- because they can't. Their only option is to ignore it and quote other so called 'proof texts'. This is not because they lack intelligence. It is simply because there is no credible and satisfactory argument to disprove what the Bible -- God's authoritative word of Truth -- very blatantly shows.

Any one who really reads the Old Testament knows that Jehovah God is and has always been very mercifull . People who think the God of the OT is different than that of the NT do not know who God is.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

There is only one God, people interpret God in different names and forms. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe and is beyond life and death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future, and remember ignorance gives failures. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Improve by Gaining and Sharing utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Best, Right, Good, Truth, God against Worst, Wrong, Bad, Untruth, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

The "God of the OT" was just as loving as was the "God of the NT" -- for they are the same God.
Jer. 31:3 "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, 'Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.'"
But, He doesn't love evil:
Psalm 11:7 "For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright."
Psalm 33:5 "He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD."
Psalm 37:28 "For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off."
Psalm 145:20 "The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy."
Proverbs 3:12 "For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth."
Proverbs 15:9 "The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness."
The only time, in the Old Testament, that God ever instructed that a person, persons, or nation was to be killed, was when their cup of iniquity was full. God is the Righteous Judge. He knows when a person has gone beyond Redemption.
Rom. 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ gave us another example of God's Character -- call it a different perspective, if you will. The woman caught in adultery was guilty and deserved death by stoning according to God's own Laws. But the man caught with her should have also been stoned -- yet he was not brought with the woman. That would not have been fair to the woman.
But Jesus also knew that this woman had been framed, by the very men accusing her (whom, themselves, had even slept with her), in order to test Jesus' adherence to God's Law. You see, the Pharisees knew that this was a test for Jesus because they also knew that God isn't the strict killer that many Atheists and Evolutionists make Him out to be -- if He existed, at all, of course. ::rolleyes:: At any rate...
So, Jesus showed us that man cannot judge fairly. That is why He told them that the man without sin could cast the first stone. Then He bent down and, starting with the eldest, began to write their sins in the dust of the ground. Being curious as to what He was doing, they began peeking at what He was writing. As soon as they saw their own sins in the dust, they hurried away -- lest they, themselves, fall under the Stone of Justice.
When they were all gone, Jesus then showed us the Love of God. You see, Jesus was without sin. He could have cast the stone, himself. It was in God's Law. No one would have questioned Him. But Jesus knew the heart of that woman. Jesus knew she was not beyond Redemption. That is why He told her:
John 8:11 "...Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
You see, once saved, always saved, is baloney. Yes, Jesus accepts us the way we are. But is He satisfied to leave us that way? No. He told the woman she was under Grace and Saved. But, He also told her to sin no more.

Firstly, he was never, ever called Jehovah. This is a mistranslation by Christian biblical scholars, because Hebrew has no vowels. The actual name of G-d is never and was never said by Jews.
And yes, Jesus of course prayed to the G-d of the Tanakh, or 'old' testament. He lived and died a practising Jew.

Allah ( Ilah ) is the name for God in Aramaic the language that Jesus spoke.
Jesus never prayed to God or even referred to God using any word but Allah.
People who say that Allah is a false God do not know what they are talking about, and they are most certainly not following the true teachings of Jesus.
Love and blessings.

Jehovah is not related to Jesus in any way, shape, or form and most certainly not in spirit or truth. Be smart, believe Jesus, not Moses. Jehovah is a liar and a murderer.
