I mean I argue with you if you insult my religion but thats also to try to bring you to religion for the sake of your soul. But why do you care if we believe in God? And if you don't care why do argue with us?

Generally, atheists don't care if you believe... we care about public education, theocracy, and bigotry...

Wait so we shouldn't get upset when people try to bring us to their religion for the sake of our soul based on one's belief? Then you tell people if they don't care why argue with you? hmmm I think you might have answered your question. We don't care for your belief keep out of faces and ears, governments other things deals with society as a whole as well as personal belief and space. We didn't nor ask you to be "concerned" for us. Then there won't be any need to cry over insult to your religion and um do this for us, Cry us a river.

Feel free to believe a giant mushroom creates
the smell of rain if you wish, but with regard to
'why do you care'...

I care that religion insists on teaching my children nonsense.

I care that an enormous amount of money is being
spent to put a disclaimer in science books touting
scientific fact as a belief. I care that this money could
have been used to purchase teaching tools for those
who will become tomorrow's adult society and instead
is being used to promote hogwash.

I care that religion gets a tax break when common
people trying to make it on minimum wage can't get one.

I care that children are raped in the name of believing.

Women, children and animals are beaten for the silly
nonsense written in numerous books of different degrees.

I care that you want to impose make believe as
though it were fact.

I care that presidents are elected not for their ability
to lead the country, but what flavor magic they believe in.

I care that more blood has been shed in the name
of religion than any natural cause.

Yeah, I care.

When you mature and learn how the world truly works,
I hope you have figured out exactly what role religion
plays in all our lives. At your age you have that warm and
fuzzy notion that it doesn't hurt a thing. You have visions
of sugarplums and sweet thoughts that you will one day
float on a cloud with your deceased loved ones.

You truly should educate yourself.

"..to try to bring you to religion for the sake of your soul"

Let me get this right: you are allowed to care if we don't believe in God, but we are not allowed to care if you do?

How about if some atheist would like to argue with you if you insulted their beliefs but also to try to get you away from religion for the sake of your.. sanity?

I'm not an atheist, but I care that you believe in God because there are so many of you trying to force the rest of us to believe in God.

By the way, my soul is perfectly fine. If anyone knows the condition of my soul, it is me, not someone taking directions from a 2000 year old book of stories.

this question has been asked and answered ad nauseum.

atheists and other non-Christian don't give a flying feces that you believe what you believe but the fact that Christians have a tendency to seek ascendancy via politics and manipulations of the government causes quite a bit of angst.

if you all did as your god told you to do and simply prayed in your closet or within your congregations no one would oppose you because there would be no reason to. when you bring your religion into the filthy realm of politics you should expect your sacred concepts to be spattered with filth. it's your own fault that American Christianity has become a disgusting mud wallow.

I don't, except when you forcefully try to get me to believe in your fairy tales. I don't need your pity and I don't need your shame in trying to save me, "for the sake of my soul." I argue with you because your religion dictates how I live my life in this supposed Land of the Free. As soon as all of the religions of the world stop trying to convert me, then I will stop arguing with the likes of you.

Sweetie I couldn't care less what you believe. Believe anything you want to. Just keep it out of my government and schools. Everyone has the SAME right to believe what they want without being forced to live by the rules of any religion.

I don't care if you believe in god. Knock yourselves out on that. Believe in two for all I care.

But when you take that belief and
a) Tell me I'm going to hell because I don't believe in what you believe
b) Force your beliefs on me through legislation
c) Say that your god is the only god when there are clearly more than one

I will take offense. Your god is not the only god. There are thousands of gods existing in multiple cultures. Who's to say yours is the right one. Don't tell me I'm going to hell. Your god forbids that - it's called judgement. And when you say abortion is wrong because god said so, that nullifies your opinion when it comes to legislation. Use another reason that's valid.

We want to inform you as to the true nature intended for the Bible God! Why do you want to believe in such a gross fantasy!

God is determined to make you eat your own children when he wants to punish you in the "Land Flowing with Milk and Honey"

Leviticus 26:29 - (God says) YOU WILL eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.

Deuteronomy 28:53-57 - Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the LORD your God has given you. Even the most gentle and sensitive man* (*not a godless atheist!) among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating…

Jeremiah 19:9 - I (GOD) WILL MAKE THEM eat the flesh of their sons and daughters...

Ezekiel 5:10 - Therefore in your midst fathers WILL EAT their children...

Lamentations 4:10 - With their own hands compassionate* (*godly) women HAVE COOKED THEIR OWN CHILDREN...

Never mind that “compassionate* (*godly) women HAVE COOKED THEIR OWN CHILDREN...” God is still pumping more egotistic propaganda hoping that the Bible readers don’t remember what he forced the mothers to eat their own babies!

Isaiah 49:15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

So you see, the Bible God is a vulgar dirty liar! Actually he is the human imagination gone berserk writing a book to control religious people and to make money on their gullibility!

Why do care if others believe in God? I don't want people to believe in God because I want people to believe in themselves.
