After Judge Jones issued a ruling on the Intelligent Design case in Dover PA, he received hundreds of death threats from Christians.

One of the parents of the children named in the law suit received several letters threatening her family and claiming that people against creationism were rewarded with murder.

I understand that most Christians don't justify the murder of other humans, until Jesus does it at the end of time, but can you help us understand what drives some Christians to do threaten death over Intelligent Design vs Evolution. It seems crazy, and no Darwinian proponents have ever issued death threats in the name of Evolution.

Why is this?

Pat Robertson issued a statement to the town of Dover, telling them not to turn to God if a disaster hits the town, because when they voted out the ID proponents in the school board, they turned their back on God. Pat Robertson felt justified in threatening the whole town with disaster. Is that moral? What drives Christians to behave this way?

Probably the same reason that Muslims and Hebrews do. They feel passionate about a subject and feel that they have no other recourse than to threaten someone's life in order to get their message heard.

For the same reason Muslims issue death threats for naming a teddy bear Mohamed. The reason is religious fanaticism. A small (hopefully) portion of any group of people is going to be "extreme" about their beliefs. They see any opinion differing from theirs as an attack on their whole system and therefore they justify the ultimate punishment for the opposing party. Those small segments also seem to be the most vocal. The vast majority of them are passive, understanding and considerate of others views. I have to say the most evolved of us would be more tolerant of each other. Please don't make assumptions about all of us because of a few loudmouths.

Satan works just as hard on Christians as he does on non-Christians. Remember, many shall come in His Name...they will claim to be Christians, but they are not. We can't say who is and who isn't. That's why you shouldn't judge the whole religion based on what a few or even several hundred people say or do. I do believe Pat Robertson speaks boldly and in a very opinionated manner but I stand by most of what he says.

Belief and Righteous Deeds are two of the best routes to Jannah (Paradise). The door of righteous deeds is wide and the ways of obtaining rewards are vast, as Allah says, "And those who believe and do good deeds they are the inhabitants of Paradise, in it they shall abide." [2:82]

Taqwa is the fear of the Most Merciful, and acting in accordance with the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhi wasallam. That is, hoping for the reward of Allah and avoiding disobedience of His Guidance and fearing His Punishment. For Allah says, "Surely those of taqwa shall be in the midst of Gardens and fountains." [15:45] The Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wasallam, also said, "The most common thing which leads people to Paradise is taqwa of Allah and good conduct, and the most common thing which leads people to the Hell Fire is the mouth and the private parts." (Tirmithi)

Obedience of Allah and His Messenger is a sure way to Paradise. Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, says, "And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will cause him to enter Gardens beneath which rivers flow, and whoever turns back, He will chastise him with a painful chastisement." [48:17] Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, also said, "All of my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who would refuse?" He said, "He who obeys me enters Paradise and he who disobeys me has refused." (Bukhari)

Christian comes from the word JESUSCHRIST, Jesuschrist doesn't mean death, so this people calling themselves Christians are false, they use the religion as a shelter to commit criminal offences, for their own convenience, they are a bunch of evil minded and selfish individuals who want to cause panic among the people, so please don't believe in them, they are insulting the bible and they will have to answer many questions sooner or later.
