I intentionally misspelled "Christian" in a question to point out the intentionally misspelling of the word "atheist". And when one answer misspelled the word "mis-spelled" to point out my error, I almost fell out of my chair in laughter.

How does god feel about any surgery? Im not talking about plastic surgery. Im talking about when youre shoulder has a torn rotator cuff and needs surgery to fix it and if you don't it can pop out of place and cause you pain sometimes. Or if you break your leg and if you dont get it reset it could heal wrong. What if your jaw gets cracked and if your mouth isnt wired shut for 2 months it could heal wrong and lead to problems. What about those surgeries? How does god feel about those?

Seriously....

1/10 questions are about that stupid bear...and posting questions is NOT going to change anything. If you want to get people to realize how wrong it is...write to the senators and representatives, to the white house, etc. and tell them you want them to speak out against this....

Can we please just stop for an hour or so with the stupid bear?

I personally prefer going to the ashram because I prefer quiter forms of worship (such as meditation, matras and trance) as opposed to loud singing that is synonymous with temples. I personally think that ashrams are better to focus prayer and meditation which allows the soul to bond with god properley and I find ashrams to be slightly more professional than temples as there are no loud and boisterous pundits :-)

In my mind, a teddy bear never sins, provides happiness and comfort. So isn't a teddy bear at the very least deserving of this name?

The pope stated as a fact that atheism is responsible for "some of the "greatest forms of cruelty and violations of justice" in history.". What is he smoking? Did he not remember the crusades? Did he not remember the Spanish Inquisition? The witch hunts? All of the torture and murder of innocent people throughout history all in the name of Christianity? How many millions of people were burned at the stake because they were believed to be witches by the Christian faith? They were burned with no evidence, no real trials, etc. What about the Native Indians of Central and South America and North America, who were tortured and murdered to force their conversion? The mass murdering of prisoners during the crusades by Christ's warriors, because the prisoners were Muslim?

Pope Eggs Benedict is obviously off his rocker and has lost his mind. Hopefully more and more people realize the evil that religion actually is, here is a person from the Hitler youth telling you this. Great job.

You have these old men in red and with white beard walking everywhere.. sitting in stores handing out presents.. coming to homes giving out presents..real people.. what is there to believe or not believe in ?? Children are not so stupid to think that these people are fake .. Or that they are not your mummy or daddy. They know that every santa they see has a different personality, has a different eye colour, has different glasses etc.. so what exactly did you think of when someone asked you as a child do you believe in snata.. ??

For example.. I always thought that there is only one real santa, and he is a soul.. a transparent soul.. that can enter any room through a wall.. and still be able to carry solid presents with him.. and then there were small helpers, also souls..

i go to a 3rd level institute of tech, notices have been placed around campus asking people to go to debates (as part of the social studies students projects),these debates cover social topics such as racism, religion etc.

1 notice out of the 20 or so notices was titled "does religion play a part in our society" in the centre of this brief notice (about 5 lines in total) was a picture of the bible. Under the picture in small font were words to the following effect

"the bible -when all the works of science can be ignored by cattle sacrificing primatives who believed all animals existed within walking distance of noahs house".

- is this religious intolerance?

i made a complaint (granted it was made late on a friday) and someone said they would take it down, however it remained up until i left at the end of the day.

i realise its as part of a debate - but do colleges usually allow insults against one section of society to be displayed? does your univesity or college?

When the last European Pope died who hid child crimes from USA police, George Bush, Jr. lowered the America flag to 1/2 staff and went to the European Pope's funeral.

Should George Bush, Jr. be impeached over doing that?

This is a secular nation. Let's kick that old Nazi in the Panzers with some good old American sign waving.

The first leg of Benedict's visit to the U.S. will be Washington, where his agenda includes an official White House reception on April 16.

Benedict also will celebrate Mass at the new Nationals stadium in Washington on April 17 and hold meetings with Catholic priests, university presidents, diocesan educators and youth organizers.

After that, the Pope flies to New York, where he is slated to address the United Nations on April 18 and celebrate Mass two days later for thousands at Yankee Stadium.

"VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict, in an encyclical released on Friday, said atheism was responsible for some of the "greatest forms of cruelty and violations of justice" in history."

Right!!! Like the Inquisition was caused by us baby-eating, demon-worshiping atheists.

He is filled with a large amount of a brown, disgusting, semi-solid substance that has been eliminated from the digestive tract of a sexually functional male bovine!!!!!!!

I admire people who voice what they have to say but, what are you afraid of, words Christians die every day in this world for helping those who are in need of love a caring. Jesus said, a true man lays down his life for his enemies. Thats Love as Jesus died for all.

I'm two days into a 40 day cycle of meditation and am VERY new to the process. I have a mantra that I use, and it is relatively simple. I chant along with a recording to keep me on pace. However, I've found that about 10 minutes in, I start flubbing up the words. Even though I've repeated the phrase a hundred times or more at that point, I seem to start having a hard time remembering the words. It's almost like I hit a wall.

Has anyone else ever had difficulty like this? Any tips for pushing through?
