You have these old men in red and with white beard walking everywhere.. sitting in stores handing out presents.. coming to homes giving out presents..real people.. what is there to believe or not believe in ?? Children are not so stupid to think that these people are fake .. Or that they are not your mummy or daddy. They know that every santa they see has a different personality, has a different eye colour, has different glasses etc.. so what exactly did you think of when someone asked you as a child do you believe in snata.. ??
For example.. I always thought that there is only one real santa, and he is a soul.. a transparent soul.. that can enter any room through a wall.. and still be able to carry solid presents with him.. and then there were small helpers, also souls..

But you know... my mother was bad at this.. I once drew a painting to my beloved santa's helpers and left on a window with a message, this is for you ..... take it.. in the morning it was gone.. and I was so damn happy !!!
After several days, my mother took this painting out of a cupboard and stuck on a fridge with a magnet and I understood the whole business.... and that was ... a feeling of being lied to for so many years... I took it really seriously !!

And also.. each time I woke up and saw new presents under our Christmas tree.. they were different, and by different I mean that the personalities of these presents were so different.. Once I got an old, used playhouse for a present.. it wasn\t even wrapped.. while all the others were..etc... I mean.. it all was so badly organised.. I knew santa would never present me with this sort of gift !!

I pretended to believe in santa long after I knew better just to make my mother happy. I was her baby and she didn't want me to grow up.
I don't think it's right for parents to try so hard to make their kids believe in santa. Then when they're older and find out santa isn't real they'll start questioning every thing else their parents taught them.

When I was growing up, believing in Santa was like a game of make-believe that everyone played together. So there was never the disillusionment that other people talk about.
My parents still label some Christmas presents as coming from Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolf, etc. It's all a code for the type of present. Mrs. Claus usually gives warm things; Rudolf likes flashlights, and so on. So it's a game we still play, even as grown ups (I'm 35).
Santa is the image that represents the spirit of joy and giving that should pervade the Christmas season.

I do not want to sound like the grinch but getting your kids to beleive in a ficticious character that can cast magical spells is right up satan's alley. Nothing at all to do with salvation brought to us by Jesus. Instead you have trees and stockings and gifts. Lights running up the electric bill. credit card debt. And little fairy elves as helpers. Oh brother. The whole world is really truly blinded by the wicked one.

Santa is known as Molech and Chemosh. The priest would fire up the iron image until it was "cherry red" hot. A then the believer with his/her "list" would hand the "child" to the priest who would place the child on the "lap" of the image. Incinerating the child. The believer would leave knowing that his god would bring prosperity to his house for offering up his/her child.
Why do you think santa comes down the fiery hot chimney? Think about it. The worshipers of Molech and Chemosh are now found in your local shopping malls mimicking this detestable practice of old. merry child-sacrifice-mas.

I was told the santa's seen daily are elves helping Santa. That was acceptable, because I knew the real Santa would come at Xmas time with all the loot I had demanded in my note.

I was so upset as well! And, really not because Santa wasn't real - but because my Mother had lied to me. I was almost 5 and thought she had made a fool of me.
Right then and there, I decided that someday I would not tell my children that fable.............and I didn't.

to tell children there is some happy person that's going to give you gifts if you are good, gives kids the feeling of hope, to strive for something, a reason to be good.
