I'm two days into a 40 day cycle of meditation and am VERY new to the process. I have a mantra that I use, and it is relatively simple. I chant along with a recording to keep me on pace. However, I've found that about 10 minutes in, I start flubbing up the words. Even though I've repeated the phrase a hundred times or more at that point, I seem to start having a hard time remembering the words. It's almost like I hit a wall.

Has anyone else ever had difficulty like this? Any tips for pushing through?

It's okay to flub the words. Follow the new path for the rest of the session and chant whatever comes to mind. You might find that the new path is better than the old path.

I do that when I try to Lucid dream, you chant a mantra before you fall asleep to keep your mind of everything, and then you fall asleep, but it is suppose to help with Lucid dreaming, so yeah
