Aren't the Angels in Heaven singing sterile songs while the male God is blind? : )

If the early Church believed in sola Scriptura, why do the creeds of the early Church always say “we believe in the Holy Catholic Church,” and not “we believe in Holy Scripture”?

For example, the Apostle's Creed, dating within 50 years of the New Testament and ascribed to the original Apostles, said:
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Is there a differance in sins.Is a lie a worse sin than murder or do they all count as sin.It seems that people will support their religion and believe in it completely until it interfers with their personal life.I always thought that a sin is a sin no matter what.People now seem to pick and choose which sins to consider sins.Arent adultery,pre-marital sex, false witness things like these sins. But yet they are dismissed because the religious people don't mind them so much or they happily participate in these things, while condeming someone else to hell for their sins. Are sins only the things that you don't agree with, and if you aren't bothered by it then is it not a sin.How does this work

I'm assuming the prohibition on naming excludes people. Is it legal in Islamic law to name one's child Muhammad?

Blasphemy is to speak disrespectfully of God. Taking the name of Mohammed in vain cannot be the same as taking the name of God in vain, unless you actually worship Mohammed. If there is no God but Allah, then calling Teddy-Mohammed "blasphemy" is polytheism. Polytheism and idolatry of a man. So anyway, how is "insulting Mohammed" equal to blasphemy?

Hinduism is the religion that is most misunderstood and is the most wrongly practiced. It is the world's oldest religion and as a result it has become mixed with culture and superstition. The wealth of Hinduism itself has become lost and very few Hindus know what true Hinduism is.

Shall we seperate the Hindu religion from the culture and superstition that it has become mixed with and thus bring out the true beauty of Hinduism.

This is not a baited question, I am very curious. Stems from a conversation I had with a friend of mine last night. I am Christian and do not believe in ghosts, spirits whatever. He is Atheist and believes in all of the above. I found it interesting that I believe in a supernatural being but not ghost where as his views were directly opposite.

Would you bend your knee or extend your middle finger?
I think my personal opinion has been made clear many times.
Christians and other religious/delusional nutcases on here always say "just wait until you are standing before him to be judged, the bible says that every knee shall bend and everyone will profess that he is god, and blah, blah, blah".
Got a Ben Franklin that says that EVERY knee won't hit the dirt.
Even if I were to get absolute proof of your god's existence, and know for a fact that everything in the bible was absolutely true, I STILL would decline to be a slave. I would STILL tell your god to kiss my fat asss.
I wonder how many would choose to do the same thing.

Listenening to a muslim cleric on the radio this morning, he said that the koran doesn't even mention blasphemy, and that mohammed never prosecuted or persecuted anyone for blasphemy.

Why are those nutjobs going mad in the Sudan about it then?

Halloween is 100% pagan holiday.

Halloween is very popular in the U.S.

The U.S consists of about 1% pagan and about 80% christian.

It is estimated that about 15% of Americans do not celebrate halloween.

Why are there so many christian hypocrites?

Before the Big Bang theory, atheists argued with theists by declaring that the universe was eternally existent. They conceded that if the universe had a beginning, it would necessarily prove that the universe came from nothing, and therefore prove the existence of God. They went so far as to say that if it was proven that the universe had a beginning, they would become theists.

So, it would seem that the Big Bang is the nail on the coffin door for atheists…(and for many, it has been: they have become theists)

Yet ironically, most atheists absurdly believe that the Big Bang supports atheism! Wouldn’t these atheists be mocked by atheists from years ago?

Some current atheists are desperately trying to “get out of cracks in the coffin wall” through string theory or multiverse theory…

But wouldn’t atheists of old say that this is nothing more than sticking one’s head in the sand regarding “proof” that they sought and desired in order to have faith in God?

I've always lived a kosher life. I am now a diabetic and one of the insulins is made from pigs. Pork has always been unclean to me. If it is wrong I don't want to take it ."It is better to die in the presents of God than to live in disobediance." I Need to know soon; Haven't taken it yet but Im going to have to do something quick. I do'nt know what to do. Is anyone else facing this?

All your evidence for evolutions is either a lie or is not interpreted right. Let me show you an example where atheists lied to people.
At this website http://corior.blogspot.com/2006/02/part-16-more-evidence-for-ice-ages.html
About the tenth paragraph down it says
"Of all the cores removed from the Greenland Ice Sheet, the one containing the most ancient ice is the Camp Century core.... The deepest, and hence oldest, layer.... once lay 4,600 feet below the surface of the ice sheet and was probably laid down some 125,000 years ago, before the advent of the Ice Age.... analysis of the O-18 content of the bottom 1,000 feet of the core yielded details of the climatic history of Greenland"

This website shows they were not telling the truth.
