I've dealt with a few bomb situations. Not only will I pray but I hope that as the majority of bombs it is either completely bogus of lacks the expertise of rigging the detonator. I had quit a bit of experience over time with explosives at Thiokol and with my own gold mines. And after my mining blasts, I was still bad enough at it that I had to pick up unexploded geletin from my 8 lb charges. I will guess he has a gun though. That is definitely a concern, and a real one.

I always laugh when I see someone strapped with red sticks of explosive. Those are road flares. I haven't seen a red stick of dynamite yet, though I suppose they could be painted. And homemade explosives. Even black powder is much harder than combining charcoal, sulfer and potassium nitrate. It must be combined in liquid suspension and completely dried after. Standard smokeless gun powder? My bet there is you'll simply have a fast burning roman candle and the wearer gets burned. Homemade nitro glyceren, he wouldn't likely survive the mixing much less a stop at a traffic light with it.
But yes, I'll pray, both for the hostages and that my explosive experience is correct. I'll even pray the bomber gets the extended mental hospital committment he needs when he is taken into custody.
Course if he works in the mining, rocket, explosive or chemical industries, all bets are off. He likely does have access to the materials and enough knowledge to put a working explosive together.

The crisis has ended, thank God, without injury.

But the cynic in me notes that when a prayer request is for a politically correct Christian, or a clearly Repulblican Christian like Falwell, the prayers flow in at this site.

Have we sunk so low that the right won't pray for a Democrat's situation? If so, we desperately need to pray on that.

I just heard about it.

Am praying for those involved in the train accident.

To answer the question why God allows these things. God gives everyone free will. The man had free will and reason for what he did. His reason right or wrong he acted on the free will God gives to every human being. Now I thank God him and all the others involved are safe.

God bless you all.
