I've always lived a kosher life. I am now a diabetic and one of the insulins is made from pigs. Pork has always been unclean to me. If it is wrong I don't want to take it ."It is better to die in the presents of God than to live in disobediance." I Need to know soon; Haven't taken it yet but Im going to have to do something quick. I do'nt know what to do. Is anyone else facing this?

Saving one's life is the most important thing to do, so the answer should be yes. One may break the Sabbath in order to save a human life, so I assume the same holds here....

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Why do you need to use pig insulin? "Human" insulin is now the treatment of choice for diabetics and if, as you question suggests, you are recently diagnosed you will be prescribed this and no other. No problem. Stop worrying about it!

The genetically engineered insulin is human insulin rather than porcine. It is more effective. I think you would have a difficult time finding porcine insulin these days.

...There are lots of alternatives to porcine (pork) insuline. I am a diabetic and don't use pork insuline any more.
...Check with your doctor, they are plenty of alternatives to pork insuline.

I'm guessing it's probably not technically kosher. However, it _is_ going to be sterile for medical use, so it would be medically safe to take.

I'll leave this for a rabbi or someone more informed about your religious practices to answer. Good luck!

Most insulin isn't nowadays anyhow. If yours is, ask your doctor about alternatives.

Yes, as long as you don't mix it with any dairy product!
