Seriously....

1/10 questions are about that stupid bear...and posting questions is NOT going to change anything. If you want to get people to realize how wrong it is...write to the senators and representatives, to the white house, etc. and tell them you want them to speak out against this....

Can we please just stop for an hour or so with the stupid bear?

Sounds good Paul!

I find it funny though that The God Delusion is in religious fiction at Barnles and Noble...

Actually Miriah, I asked if the kids should be in trouble for naming the bear...it wasn't about the bear or the teacher.

And I was told that the kids aren't being held responsible because they're too young.

I didn't see that question asked, and I went back 15 pages...but I've seen the same question being asked by different people many times.

How about the Turkish suit against the publisher of Dawkins' "The God Delusion"? Here's what the United States will look like if the religious right gets its way:

==============================
"Richard Dawkins' best-selling atheist manifesto The God Delusion was at the centre of a growing row over religious tolerance yesterday after the Turkish publishers of his book were threatened with legal action by prosecutors who accuse it of 'insulting believers'.

Erol Karaaslan, the founder of the small publishing house Kuzey Publications, could face between six months and a year in jail for "inciting hatred and enmity" if Istanbul prosecutors decide to press charges over the book, which has sold 6000 copies in Turkey since it was published this summer.

"A reader complained, saying that he wanted the book banned and the publishers punished", said Mr Karaaslan after talks with the Istanbul state prosecutor. Mr Karaaslan, whose company specialises in self-help books and children's literature, has been given a few days to prepare a written statement of defence"

Unfortunately, the bear business is important. There are few absurdities more adversely reflective on Islam than the to-do over the bear. Every Muslim on the planet owes the rest of us an apology for this despicable charade.

One thing we can be sure of is the same people who brought us the blasphemous teddy will be doing something else totally stupid and seventh century soon.

So how come you didn't ask a question about something other than teddy?;)

It's not about a stupid bear. It's about an innocent school teacher who may lose her life over a stupid Islamic law.
