Spirituality is something so personal that its expression cannot be strictly defined. With this in mind, what about your religious faith inspires you to change? What aspirations for yourself do you derive from this inspiration?

I really don't understand this part of christianity, i'm not trying to bash religions, i just want to know.
God is allpowerful, so he will know if someone goes to hell or not even before they are created. So why does he let people be created that are destined to hell? does he like seeing people suffer enternally? I know he can intervene, but many people die not believing in him, and he knew they would die this way. So why did he even let them be created in the 1st place if he knew they were going to hell?

I had been meditating for the past 10 years (Vipassana) in Goenka tradition. Now I have found real progress with Ajahn Brahms methods. I want to practice Anapanasati (as taught by Ajahn Brahm) for long periods of time. Is there a retreat anywhere in the world?

I've met a few of these people but mostly I have seen them on TV

" I was a bad person and did (insert bad stuff) until I met (insert god or org) and then I learned I shouldn't kill, rape, murder , rob etc

I have often wondered about the state of some humans that a god was needed to point this out -

What went wrong with society or the human race that things a dog wouldn't do (eat/kill his own) now needs to be taught to certain people ?

If God and Jesus are one, How does God have more knowledege than Jesus? Since Jesus said only God knows the time earth will end.

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

I believe the mortality rate before germs were discovered kept the human population below a billion for untold thousands of years. In the last 300 years we've skyrocketed pass 6 billion because of medicine and hygiene.

How can a gay person could be christian at the same time? if most of the christian chuches reject gay people?
I am gay.. but I think I cannot be part of a christian church.. because there is too much rejection againts gay people.. I could be just a believer myself.. but not to become a member of any church.. even I am catholic.. I think catholicism is less anti-gay in judging the people by their actions.. but I am sure many gays say they are christian protestant.. but they go to the church and they are not open with their sexuality.. I know many protestant churches are small.. so they know who is gay or bi in their members or not?

I would like the saint to have lost a parent as well, and be canonized, not pending. And, if possible, to be able to buy a pendant with them one it. They have to represent the death of a father, the wanting to remember the father, and if possible to help me as I try and find a cure for the disease that killed him. Thanx

My neighbors just lost their house and came back to pack everything and move it and they have no electricity and no food. They did not ask me for meals but I know they need it. Is it rude or would it be ok to ask people to bring in a meal or two? Thanks!

Okay, so let me start. :)
The other day this Mormon kid started bashing me for being Catholic. He kept saying that all other religions were a bunch of damn lies and Mormon was the best lol.
Look, I know that there HAS to be nice Mormons who are openminded and are respectful to other religions. I won't let one ignorant person ruin my impression of them. I would never stereotype anyone based on their relilgion!

Does anyone know any good sources? I can't find anything on the web but a bunch of religion bashers. I know there's a lot to this religion, but if anyone can help me that would be great. I don't know much, but so far I know that Joseph Smith added on to the bible..? I would really like to become more diverse on my knowledge of religions.

Thanks you guys! : ))))

Even if you have suffered, or appeared to have suffered, has your spiritual unfolding felt as if you were always protected by soul guides, or angelic guides, or the presence of god, and have you always had this awareness?

and other crimes of states against people trying to justify the times their church and religion has directly killed millions. On later examination though, you always find the leaders of these countries are guided by the priesthood itself, such as Stalin who was guided by a Jesuit priest..

Also in almost every former communist country, or other form of dictatorship the priests it comes out years later were working directly with the totalitarian governments at the time, and leading their very own flock to the slaughter.

My question is when will Christians ever admit to the truth about what your religion and the papacy that has ran it for the last 2000 years has been responsible for?

How do you know God is/was a he? Everyone seems so hellbent on calling your God a he. What if God is/was a she? But then how do you know God is/was even a she? Would that make God an it? What is God to you? How do you know/think that God is what you think it is?

Is there such a thing as unforgiveable sin?

I have never understood what is meant by this term.

It seems to be to run counter to everthing in the New Testament. There is nothing that you could have done in your past that God will not totally forgive as long as you

1) honestly and truly repent.
2) seek God's forgiveness
2) have faith in Jesus Christ

So, is there any sin that cannot be forgiven and forgotten even when you have done these three things?

What is unforgivable sin?
