If God and Jesus are one, How does God have more knowledege than Jesus? Since Jesus said only God knows the time earth will end.

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Matthew 24:35-37

The Trinity Represents the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
First the Father was and is and ever shall be and the Father had the Holy Spirit come to Mary and the Father overshadowed her and Jesus was conceived through a virgin birth. Jesus lived, as his Father instructed, died as his Father instructed and sits at the right hand of the Father now until the end. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to comfort us when He went back to be with the Father. So they are 3 persons in One, but are distinctly separate at the same time. Simply put, God the Father has not told any body yet. I wonder some times if at the end when the new heaven and the new earth, new city is, I wonder then if they all become one or remain as now? Remember...1Cor. 13: 11-13 Peace! P.S. Jesus was not the first born of all creation, Adam was!!

When I was a Baptist kid, I had a hard time understanding the Trinity. 3 people in one body... no, wait... one spirit in 3 bodies... no, one doesn't get a body, but he is the same guy.
It's like a spiritual version of the Abbott and Costello routine "Who's on First?"

When I became an atheist, I learned from non-Christians that the Trinity was a concept not taught as doctrine until the 7th century AD (3rd to some people). Also, the ancient Israelites (think pre-David) had a concept of a "council of the gods" where distinct deities stood together in Heaven.

I have no question that God and Jesus Christ are not the same person. God is known as Yahweh in the OT, and Jesus Christ is Jehovah, the creator God of the NT, if you will. The Holy Spirit is a separate being altogether. All have completely different traits and personalities. I mean, Christ taught love and tolerance of sinners, while God *summoned bears to maul people* who didn't listen!
People think that's the same guy??

My God is not a Multiple Personality Disorder-affected narcissist who needs 3 faces to feel self-worth. People believed what I do for 300-700 years, depending on who you ask. Who changed it? I don't think that God changed his word.

Well, the trinity is the father, the son, and the holy spirit. These are all aspects of the one.
Each one individually only knows what it is capable of knowing. When they are combined they know all.
Another way to look at it would be to consider split personalities. In some cases, one personality knows information the other(s) do not. Some information is known by all. I know this is a weird comparison, but hopefully, it gets the idea across.

Regarding the formulation of the Trinity doctrine, the New Catholic Encyclopedia further observes: “It was the task of the Fathers of the Church and of the early councils to formulate the mystery of Christ, true God and true man, in accurate and technical terms.”
Already in the first century C.E. false teachers had crept into the Christian church or congregation. The apostle Paul wrote to Christians in Galatia: “There are certain ones who are causing you trouble and wanting to pervert the good news about the Christ. However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed.” (Gal. 1:7, 8) Warning Christians of future developments, the same apostle stated: “The inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons.”
Since the Trinity doctrine was not developed fully until the latter part of the fourth century C.E., there is clear possibility that those responsible for its development had apostatized from first-century Christianity. We should therefore want to prove to our own satisfaction whether the Trinity doctrine finds any basis in the Bible or not. Certainly no one desiring to gain God’s approval would want to be found following a ‘teaching of demons,’ that is, a doctrine contrary to God’s truth.
It may come as quite a surprise to some that the trinity of Chinese Buddhism is described in almost the same way as the trinity of Christendom: Of this Buddhist trinity, we read: “The Three are all included in one substantial essence. The three are the same as one; not one, and yet not different; without parts or composition. When regarded as one, the three persons are spoken of as the Perfect One (Tathagata). There is no real difference [between the three persons of the trinity]; they are manifestations, different aspects of the same unchanging substance.” Obviously, the formulation of the trinity of Chinese Buddhism had no connection with the Bible.
The completed Holy Scriptures do not present the identity of Jesus Christ in concealed language, language that had to be clarified and years later formulated by clergymen into a mystery that no one understands. Jesus Christ is referred to as the “Son of God,” not as ‘God the Son.’ The very fact that he is called “Son” shows that he had a beginning. This is why the Bible speaks of him as being the “firstborn of all creation” and the “beginning of the creation by God.

Very good question it is like a sleuth. The best way i can explain this is God created everything so he is the Father and Jesus is his son and yes God knows when the time will end only he knows and i think its best that he only knows because he wants us not to worry about that and have a good time. His 2nd coming should be no surprise i hope not , there will be signs like peace in the middle east and warmer planet global warming preping for the fire, increased violence and more .Just look around you today and relate those passages from the bible to your life today.

The Bible teaches that there is one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When Jesus became a human being, he was 100% God and 100% man, but he temporarily relenquished some of his powers while he was on earth. This is why he didn't know at the time when he would return. (He probably does know now.)

try and comprehend the nature of God and you'll lose your mind.

yes they are all one, but they are not identical. its the idea that they are apart of the same body though each of them serve it differently. like the hand can do things the eyes cannot, and so forth.

Jesus is the son of God... but He and His Father are one. the Father is sovereign is He not? then ascribe all majesty to Him.

its actually cool when you look at it like this... Jesus said the Father draws people to the Son, but the Father couldn't draw people to the Son if the Son hadn't enabled the Holy Spirit to indwell people. think outside of time... if you can.

I don't know what your religion is or if you even have one. But for me as a believer I always thought Jesus Christ was the best example for every Christian that is human to be. And the life of Jesus he always depended on God the father both in actions and the words that he preached. he never leaned on his own understanding or exalted himself up. He always honored God in all things.

So when he said that he was showing us believers that we are always to trust God for the answers. Just as Jesus did. And not to lean on our own understanding.

God's plan of salvation included God revealing himself as a man in physical form and remaining God the Father in heaven. That should be hard to comprehend for us humans but He is God. He is not man. With God all things are possible. But again Jesus Christ as a man was for our example as believers to trust God for all things.

Because Jesus 'emptied himself', to 'strike a tent' ( Greek military term ) of human flesh.

Here is some scripture. I hope that you can understand it. Because it's talking about why Jesus came from heaven and became a man.

Hebrews 2
14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. 17 For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Because Gods word was made flesh and waked among us. He became human, so that He could die for our sins. And while He was in human form, He was the Son of God, and there fore being in human form, He could not tell you all the things of Heaven. Only what God wanted us to know. Because no human can know the time of His return.
