I would like the saint to have lost a parent as well, and be canonized, not pending. And, if possible, to be able to buy a pendant with them one it. They have to represent the death of a father, the wanting to remember the father, and if possible to help me as I try and find a cure for the disease that killed him. Thanx

If you're talking about a patron saint, I'm afraid there aren't any that are patron saints of events, just people. You could find a saint that was the patron saint of fathers(I think that's St. Joseph), but not one that's a patron saint of the death of anyone.

But here's a site where you can look at patron saints:

http://www.catholic.org/saints/patron.php? You might look under medicine or scientific researchers.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Patron saint of the dying is St Joseph, because he had the privilege of dying in the presence of Mary and Jesus.
