How is it man needs a god to tell him not to kill his neighbour ?

I've met a few of these people but mostly I have seen them on TV

" I was a bad person and did (insert bad stuff) until I met (insert god or org) and then I learned I shouldn't kill, rape, murder , rob etc


I have often wondered about the state of some humans that a god was needed to point this out -

What went wrong with society or the human race that things a dog wouldn't do (eat/kill his own) now needs to be taught to certain people ?

Because the world was different . . . . like in Muslim countries where they kill each other for marrying outside the will of the family.

Apparently the world was full of neighbor killing. Neighbor killers everywhere. Some people couldn't get enough of neighbor killing.

I wonder though, if the Bible is the only way to determine whether or not something is immoral, then how do people determine the morality of modern issues?

The fact is that there are many different ways to develop a code of ethics, and religious texts are just a simplified copy-and-paste version. If you study ethics you can find that there's even sort of a science to figuring out how much "good" can come out of various scenarios. If you like to keep things simple though, "Treat people the way that you'd like to be treated" is as effective a code of ethics as any.

Because as natural beings we have the sinful nature of our father Adam & vulnerable to satans whims. That is why we need the law, the law is like a mirror we look into & see our iniquiety our wickedness. The law cannot remove what is wrong with us & we find ourselves hopeless. But God through Jesus made a way by which we can be saved,that if we believe in Him & accept His sacrifice for our sins we will be saved. Peace!!!

Well. Cain couldn't figure it out. He was jealous of his brother. So the devil tempted his flesh to murder his brother.

God said, "Thou shall not kill." So? Judgment of life for life. People get pretty awful. Then when they realize they are a sinner needing a Savior. They come before God & admit it. They have nothing to offer God. So? God so loved them while they were yet sinners. So? God sent Jesus Christ to suffer the cross of Calvery to atone for their sins. And so they receive this payment for their sins. And Jesus shed blood washes away their sins. Then they are born a new person in Christ.

So? They aren't the same person anymore. They used to be a murderer, rapist, thief, etc... But not that any more. They are washed clean.

And then their body is still corruptible, but now the Holy Spirit leads them in righteousness. And convicts them through their new born spiritman when they start rehersing old hurts, or start thinking stinking things. So they confess the sin to Jesus. And He is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & cleanse us from all unrighteousnes.

The Holy Spirit & Word of God renews our minds. The root of sinful deeds is wrong thinking. Gods Truth replaces the devils lies.

So? It is sad but people in society get pretty sinful at times. But God has made a way for us. The wages of sin is death, so? Jesus died for us. Yet Jesus being without sin, raised from the dead. For us. So we also can raise from the dead just like Jesus did.

Your logic is waaay off, you do realize that murder is real right? People murder eachother all the time, if people never had anyone tell them that murder is wrong it would be socially acceptable. Plus, to sin is human nature according to the Bible, some people lie, some murder, some rape, some are gay, but no matter what your sins are, Jesus died and payed the price so that you wouldnt have to pay for them when you stand before a perfect God one day. God's grace reaches farther than any sin.

People don't want to believe it, but we are born with a sin nature- I'm guessing it came from the fall of Adam and Eve but think about it, when we are born, we are born selfish, people have to teach us how not to be selfish.

People need to be taught how not to be bad.
Just look around at all the places that have to keep teaching us not to be bad.

We don't have overwhelming places teaching people to be bad but we do have lots of places that need to teach us to stop doing things no one has even taught us how to do when it comes to being bad.
