I had a crush on a guy... ok? no big deal right?.
Then I don't know what happened but after he told me he might want to date me, the feelings left me...
I've been praying about this.. and it gets me nervous 2 have to make a decision like this. He is a great guy, don't get me wrong... He's fabulous, but is it wrong to date someone JUST for their character? Would the person feel horrible if you told them you wanted to date them for who they were on the inside?
Also. he is shorter and he's different ethnicity... but it shouldnt matter right? ...
It isn't a big deal unless I make it a big deal right???

are absolute about being the 'right' way. I can't reconcile that, how is it that 'absolute certainty' can be found in so many different paths?

In Acts 28:17 - Pual calls the chief Jews together and they say, "We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against."
(KJV)

If Peter had preached in Rome, why would Paul go there?

Rom 15:20
20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
(KJV)

If Peter was in Rome when the Book of Romans was written, why didn't Paul greet Him?

It is not written anywhere in the Bible that Peter was in Rome.
When the claim is made, it should be treated like any other claim. We should look into the New Testament to see if it can be substantiated.

If the New Testament were silent, I would be too. But what we find is proof Peter was not there before 60 A.D. without a doubt.

1.Is Earth not man's prison.
2. Is man's mind not his logical confinement.
3. Is man's heart not his emotional incarceration?
4. Is it possible to be alive and not be exploited?
5.Are we nothing more than ants living in a world of sand?
6. When we worship God are we not really worshiping our own existence?
7. If people realized there is no one on Earth that can dictate their lives, what authority would man have left?
8. Does the Bible not go in circles, contradicting itself in many ways, until it appears to be blank?
9. When authority fails to exist, what logic will sustain our survival?
10. When all is said and done, will we have ended a good thing or a bad thing, both or neither?

So ehhh... thinking it over and all. If the god of the bible were real then the gist is,"If you believe in me and serve me on earth, I will spare you my wrath and your own destruction and allow you to serve me in heaven."
Enslavement or destruction... *blinks confusedly*
Perhaps I watch to much SciFi channel but... this really sounds to me like it could be the next big SciFi movie. Putting it in that perspective though, wouldnt that mean the Satanists are the good guys?

It's this weird cemetary located somewhere in Washington state. Me and my girlfriend wanted to go see this for ourselves. You have to, appartently, go down these thirteen steps and you see a little chair. If you sit in the chair it automatically means you have sold your soul to the devil. I think it sounds really creepy. I was at church with my friend, I'm an christian, and his pastor said that he went there when he was about 16. He said it was the worst experience of his entire LIFE! So this sounds pertty interesting. Please do NOT say anything negative because I will report you.

I have only known 3 Mormons in my life. Two of them are on here! Drizzt and Catti-Brie. They are both really excellent people. The one other Mormon I know is a very good friend of mine, as well. So, why all the hating on Mormons? What's so bad about a Mormon?

I hear christians say if you don't obey gods word you will go to hell and burn for eternity, but that doesn't make sense why would the devil do gods work for him. If someone denounces god and was sent to hell wouldn't the devil welcome them with open arms and not want to torture them being that he is gods enemy. I think hell is a condition not a place, christians make it seem like a place so they can scare people into believing, plus god is supposed to be a forgiving god it doesn't seem fare to send someone to hell for eternity for something that lasted for say 30 40 50 or 60 years, god doesn't seem fear and just or forgiving.

Briefly, tell us how your path has been founded, developed and evolved since it's beginnings in modern times. And, if possible, give a brief overview of HOW and WHO you worship. No need for enormous detail, just enough to generally inform those who would be interested in learning about us.

In your own words, explain to me the biological or logical barriers that prevent the latter from taking place.

After all, if you assert that microevolution is possible, but macroevolution isn't, then it becomes necessary to specify where the boundary is which supposedly cannot be crossed.

I'm about to become an atheist. How do people gain faith? To me faith seems to be based on nothing! You just accept something based on nothing... how does that work? How can you base your whole life on a hypothetical thing? If you do indeed experience God, how are you sure it's not suggestion, or psychology, or a delirium? How can you ever trust something blindly? How?! It doesn't make sense at all! How do you know there's a God and how do you know YOUR God is the right one? If your God is so powerful why are there so many religions in such great amounts? If your God is so kind why would the world basically work cruelly and randomly? If your God is so true why can I not see him? Why does blind faith work as your excuse for everything if it doesn't make sense? Can someone explain religion with logic? Is the forbidden fruit such a bad thing? Do logic and religion go together? Why does religion promote intolerance and ignorance? Why does it promote happiness?

Why is the number 7 so significant in the bible? it appears everywhere from the 7 days of creation to the 777 years the lamech lived untill he died. ive heard an interesting theory explaining how many religions, even catholisism, are based on astrology, and this clearly is a valid explanation. would astrology have any impact on the significance of this number?

Before I begin, I would like to note that I am a Christian, but there is something I would like to get off my chest. Why is it when somebody says that they are a Christian, it is seen as a "good" thing to society? Why is the term "Christian values" used so often? I mean, values that we all agree on...such as doing good for others, being kind and respectful, etc...aren't those values that EVERYONE can have, no matter what their beliefs?

This notion of Christians being "better" people is somewhat arrogant and condescending to those who aren't Christians. It makes it sound like Christians are supposed to live by higher standards than everyone else, which isn't true. I know many self-proclaimed Christians who treat people like crap, and I know many people who aren't Christians who are warm and friendly. You hear all the time about people who convert to Christianity..how they are "getting their life turned around"...who's to say that being a Christian automatically makes people "better"?

In the Bible it says that there will be streets and houses of gold. But what if you're more of the silver type? Many, including me, picture it to be beautiful and sunny with rainbows and flowers. But what if you're more the overcast type? Also, do you think we will hold sexual relationships in Heaven?
