I had a crush on a guy... ok? no big deal right?.
Then I don't know what happened but after he told me he might want to date me, the feelings left me...
I've been praying about this.. and it gets me nervous 2 have to make a decision like this. He is a great guy, don't get me wrong... He's fabulous, but is it wrong to date someone JUST for their character? Would the person feel horrible if you told them you wanted to date them for who they were on the inside?
Also. he is shorter and he's different ethnicity... but it shouldnt matter right? ...
It isn't a big deal unless I make it a big deal right???

Dating is not marriage, the purpose to date is to find out if the person you are intersted in is the person for you. Dating gives you a chance to see the inside. But to see the inside of someone, you have to have patience and the ability to deny the lust that you feel, remember, love and lust are not the same.

Unless you are a bigot the guys ethnicity shouldn't matter. And as for praying, this has nothing to do with 'god' and he wont help you out. You've to make a move, he's got to make a move, or you have to get over him.

Dating is a big deal. Pray about this issue and don't date unless God puts peace on your heart about this matter. God may have a different person who is better suited to you.

If I met someone who wanted to date me for my character and for who (they think) I am on the inside--I would feel like I'd died and gone to Heaven.
Those are the best possible reasons to want to date someone.
