If we, the atheists, are right, then this life is all we have. There is nothing more to come. This life, these hours, are your only opportunity to experience your existence-- to experience joy, love, art, pleasure, happiness. Therefore, every wasted hour, every hour spent in chasing an illusion, a phantom, means that some of your precious grains of sand have been stolen from your hourglass and tossed away. You have, in a sense, shortened your life-- the only existence you will ever know.

Every hour you have read a bible, sat in a pew, engaged in intolerant condemnation based upon biblical laws, went door-to-door trying to convince someone else of your delusion, or contrived outlandish explanations for religious absurdities, you have squandered away the irreplaceable hours of your life, and they can never be reclaimed. You have wasted your one and only life wrapped up in a mythology that never was. How sad this is. I actually pity people who have been so deceived.

My friend goes to an Apostolic Church and the problem is when they all get to speaking in tongues no one can hear the Pastor. The Pastor encourages people to speak in tongues as often as they can, claiming that he probably does it more than any other single church member. He is just asking that they do it quietly. How do you control the Holy Spirit's volume? This is a real situation and a serious question. Thanks for your help.

I follow the christian religion but am very confused by the reference of God, Lord and Jesus. The way I understand it is Jesus is God's son. Lord is just another name that is used to refer to God and Jesus. But I'm pretty sure that we are supposed to only worship God otherwise it is considered idoltry. Why do we worship Jesus if in fact it is really God that gave Jesus his abilities to heal and be resurrected from the dead. I am confused.

You don't see Native Americans or Aborigines running around the world trying to claim land that's not theirs and killing the inhabitants who resist; neither do you see them building atomic bombs. In fact, it was brutes like Columbus, John Smith, the Pilgrims, Cortez, Pizarro and the like that savagely murdered millions as they greedily sought gold and land, wasn't it? It was your great-great-great-great-grand pappies.

I admire that you want creationism to be taught as Science.

Welcome to Science's playground. Now, biblical verses won't count.

I assume you know the basics of high school Biology.

You need logical arguments to debate/discuss. To start with very simple question, can you please refute endogenous retrogene insertions, Scientifically?

Endogenous retrogene insertions are molecular remnants of a past parasitic viral infection. Occasionally, copies of a retrovirus genome are found in its host's genome, and these retroviral gene copies are called endogenous retroviral sequences. Retroviruses, like HIV, make a DNA copy of their own viral genome and insert it into their host's genome. If this happens to a germ line cell (i.e. the sperm or egg cells) the retroviral DNA will be inherited by descendants of the host.

This process is rare and fairly random, so finding retrogenes in identical chromosomal positions of two different species indicates common ancestry.

Be kind, kids.

Meaning, which one do you have a hard time comprehending, understanding, etc. (Aside from the scriptures in the Book of Revelation). This isn't the same as believing or agreeing with it.

Atheists, DON'T ANSWER (Hahaha. j/k - All are welcome, of course)

N.B. Please try to avoid comparing with other scriptures, as I want to find one single scripture that is generally difficult to understand.

My neighbour, I will call him Bubba, weighs a good 450 lbs. The other day, I saw him and his family get into their car to go to Church, I know they were going to Church because they had their bibles with them, and when they all got in the car, I think I felt a slight tilt in the earth's axis. Now, I don't care if they are overweight, I don't care that the back of his neck looks like a package of Oscar Mayer weiners. But, it got me to thinking about Jesus, and Jesus said "I am fishing for men". Well, I have busted a few lines in the water on some pretty small bass, and I was wondering what kind of test line would Jesus have used for Bubba?

Those beheading videos are not part of the 'media.' They're just viral videos and there's literally a new one every day. I mean if you can find other people who chant "God is great" as they murder their victims it's not an Islam problem after all.

I know the story that humans sinned so badly that God could never accept us in heaven. Therefore He sent His only begotten son to die for our past, present, and future sin.

Alright you don't need to explain this part.

If I killed a man how does my brother crucifying himself clean my sin? I stilled killed the man and I am still guilty and I still go to jail and I still got an evil heart.

After Jesus died did that make us less sinful? No.
We are still sinning and being as evil as we would be without Jesus sacrificing Himself.

Jesus playing dead for three days is irrevelant to our sins.

Its like saying that popping a balloon will make it snow in Malaysia. It is totally irrevelant.

So what if we believe Jesus played dead for three days?

We are still as sinful as we are and this sinful nature that we posses is what God can't accept in heaven.

So our sin is not cleansed, it is still here. Believing in Jesus won't cleanse it either.

Just don't make sense to me.

How can we understand something even more complex than the universe? This doesn't make sense. I mean the universe baffles the minds of even the most creative geniuses, and for people to tell you that there is this all powerful god in the sky, and that they understand it, sounds ludicrous to me.

The Westboro Baptist Church. If you could say whatever you wanted to these radicals, what would it be?

Personally, I can't stand these idiots. All I ever hear them saying or speaking (and ranting) about in the media is "You're going to hell" & "Fags!" & other things that are so violent. They can't even back up what they hatefully preach with an intelligent argument.

God is a loving God - if they truly thought they were "The One & Only Right" religion, I honestly believe they'd preach with love and the intention to SAVE souls, not harrass them with judgement and hate...

Christians I was wondering if you believe that aliens exist?

You Christians claim that the Bible has all the knowledge of how, when, where, what ,and why life was created and everything that God has done.

The Bible explains that God created angels and humans and animals on earth. That pretty much covers up everything God has created from earth to heaven.

If God doesn't mention aliens in His creations and only speaks of how He sacrificed Himself for us it could be claimed that God did not create any other lifeform outside earth.

I think it would be absurd if God created other lifeforms in other parts of the universe and gave them free will and then going through another self-sacrifice.

Besides, there is only one evil source namely Satan that serves as our earthly test. This Satan only dwells on earth and not in other worlds.

That is why aliens can not exist.

If aliens exist or come to earth it directly proves that Christianity is fake.
