The Westboro Baptist Church. If you could say whatever you wanted to these radicals, what would it be?

Personally, I can't stand these idiots. All I ever hear them saying or speaking (and ranting) about in the media is "You're going to hell" & "Fags!" & other things that are so violent. They can't even back up what they hatefully preach with an intelligent argument.

God is a loving God - if they truly thought they were "The One & Only Right" religion, I honestly believe they'd preach with love and the intention to SAVE souls, not harrass them with judgement and hate...

BTW - Since they hate the USA so much, I wish they'd LEAVE!

There are specific doctrines that govern whether a religion is "catholic", "baptist", or whatever. However, there are many different variations within each denomination. Westboro call themselves "baptist" because they follow some baptist teachings. However, most Baptist churches have nothing to do with them because of their extreme radical behaviors. The same goes for catholic churches. In some parts of the country, they follow the strict teachings of the Vatican. However, in other parts of the world, they many be much more relaxed in their doctrines. So, in answer to your question, anyone can call any religious group, whatever they want to, but that does not mean they are going to follow all the basic teachings of that specific religion.

I am a Christian and go to a Baptist Church and it HURTS me to see the way that they act! I was watching the show "most hated people" I think that is what it was called....(a documentary on them) and I seriously almost cried with anger watching them.
I really dont know what I would say.....they wouldnt let me speak if I tried I am sure. I actually thought about asking my pastor what his feelings were and what he would say.
I am very interested to see what others would say.
I guess one thing I would say is that they are a cult, not Baptist. And my argument is that it states in the bible that ANY church who chaims to be the ONLY church who is going to receive gods love is a cult. They are brainwashing their young. And as much as I hate war, My heart hurts for the families that had to deal with their pickiting in their times of hurt.

These kinds have figured out what keeps people coming back.
Just like the thrill rides scare the **** out of people and they keep coming back for more. This church scares the **** out of people with FEAR and HELL and they keep coming back for more. It is a huge adrenalin rush to join others to fight against the DEVIL
Since earliest days until 1965 Baptists preached against blacks, catholics, Jews, supported the Klu Klux Klan and separate but equal and segregation, all good Democrats

What's really interesting, the blacks found salvation in that religion and are all good Democrats

Go figure

The Westboro Baptist Church, with hatemonger 'pastor' Fred Phelps. What can I say that hasn't been said before about them? I guess I will ask them if they are planning to apeal the $10 million judgement against them.

I would say (and have said at a counter-protest) that they should "Go Home and Leave People Alone"

I have a low tolerance at the BEST of times for this sort of extremism and consider them to be a Pseudo-Christian Personality Cult centered around the desires of their pastor Fred Phelps....

Hmmm - I wouldn't say anything to them. they would refuse to hear it and it would just be a waste of my breath.

But I won't feel any sympathy for them when some disgruntled funeral goer takes out a gun and mows several of them down. maybe then they'll get the idea they aren't wanted around.

Here's what I would say to them:

I do not believe in hell, but if it does exist, you all will be going there for preaching hatred of your fellow man.
