lucifer as an angel before he became the devil?

If a man is justified by faith, and his sin merely imputed to Christ, so that Christ's righteousness is imputed to him, so that the sinner can be forgiven and gain salvation; why isn't Jesus Christ in Hell? That is the destiny of the one still guilty of sin right? So if he get's our guilt, and we his righteousness, why does he not get the whole penalty, since we get the whole reward?

Why would a lot of religious people deny solid facts like the ones that are presented in this movie?

Seriously, I'm just curious.
Can I go to one of the churches as a non-Mormon, like, to visit?
What does one have to do to convert to that faith.
Uhm. That's it.

I'd appreciate serious answers only, please - preferably from LDS people, or those who happen to know a heck of a lot about it!

Ever heard that phrase: "you are the answer to my prayers" or "you are God sent"???

Well, do you believe that your deity, god / God sends you the answer to your prayers through another person even if that person doesn't share your religion?

For example, say I prayed to God to for a nice good friend and one day I meet this extraordinary person and we remain friends forever. However she is a Wiccan / Muslim / Buddhist / etc.?

What do you guys think?

Especially something you don't really like? My brother asked if I could have been there when our father died, If I would have tried to stop him. The answer shocked me more than him. Has this sort of thing happened to you?

we have a magic tree of a nature that we cannot comprehend,
whose fruit is so sinful to eat that it would result in the immediate and eternal damnation of humankind,
placed in a location so dangerous as to make that outcome inevitable,
all apparently for no purpose whatsoever...
yet God knew beforehand that Adam and Eve would eat of it.
So God puts in garden knowing Eve would eat from it since he knows all things from begining to end?

You will be going to Heaven. But, there is a parent, or other family member, or a close friend who will die from a disease and that person won't be going to Heaven. Would you trade places with that person? Its the ultimate sacrifice you can make. What do you think God would say about that trade?

Ok well im christian, and have about 5 years in God's path. i really love it and everyday want to grow more, but things in the world sometimes bring me down. like just when i think im getting to know God more, i fall back into the same sin, and im getting tired of it. i say that it will be the last time i do it, but i do it again the next time. then after i act like nothing happened, and i feel like a big hipocrite!! i wonder at times if God is still even with me after all the times ive let Him down.... please help me, give me some advice or something, id really appreciate it!! Thanks!

So, Mormons believe in being married for eternity! The bible says til death do you part. Which is it? Mormons say they believe in the bible, the book of Mormon, and their D&C book. It sounds like to me that these books are contradicting one another. Explain to me please?

Kind of curious based upon some comments I read. Do you believe you are saved by Jesus or Jehovah?

To all non-JW's I know Jesus and Jehovah are the same. Just wondering what JW's say.

Please support your answer with biblical evidence because the Bible is a common ground for all Christians, whether or not it is the final authority.

Nothing specific in the bible about it, no passages that simply cannot be interpreted some other way. Right?

Then why is the death penalty all right? Why is it a woman can't decide to have an unviable fetus removed, but she can be put to death if she does. More to the point, why is it wrong to abort a fetus that will turn into a baby who has no chance in the world of being happy, healthy, and good but it's all right to kill him when, after a hopeless childhood, he does something to deserve the capitol punishment. Is there anything in the bible that justifies that? Is there anything in the bible that balances the logic out here?

And seen the cosmos as it really is?
Pairs of opposites coming together to dance in loves own fire?
Seen love as the driving force that separates in order to manifest itself to be blissfully surprised by itself in countless encounters with itself?

And it got me thinking. Have you ever not believed yet still prayed in some way? I remember saying a little prayer or 2 when Debra M fell ill and feeling the same way. I have prayed that whatever higher being take suffering away from other people. I have never prayed for myself.
I mean my theory is even if I do not believe, if there is a God then he would know my prayer is sincere.
I am agnostic so I guess I think if there is a God then it couldn't hurt and if there isn't what did I lose by trying?
Does this make any sense?
Does one really have to be a believer to pray for someone else?
