You do not have to be baptised to become a Christian. Baptism comes after one has commited their life to Christ as an outward sign of their faith.

In order to accept Jesus as savior you need to do the following:
In a prayer to God or Jesus,

Admit that you are a sinner and you need Jesus to forgive you and take away your sins. Ask him to be your Lord and Savior and come into your heart and redeem you from your sins and give you a new life.

Believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died on the cross for us and rose again to heaven three days later. Believe that Jesus can cleanse you of your sins.

Confess to others what you believe. Jesus says that if you deny him before man, he will deny you before his father in heaven, but it you proclaim him to man, he will proclaim you to his father in heaven.

If you do that, you are a child of God. Your name is written in the book of life and can never be erased. Praise God that you want to come to Him. Please email me if I can do anything to help you. God bless.

Its great that you want to do that! I am a Chrisitan and none of my family is religious, but that is no reason that you shouldn't grow close to God. Your friends don't have to get involved in your religious life, but they should understand anyway. You get baptised after you become Christian, so don't worry about that right yet.
Pray and ask god to forgive you of your sins and just accept him into your heart. Read the bible everyday and try to live by the word of god. If you don't have a bible, try and buy one or go to a church and they can give you a bible, but in the mean time, go on-line and read some verses. There are a ton of websites with free bible reading. Start at John. Don't just read it like a book, read it, understand it and interpret it if you have to.
Things can be hard to understand at first, but your faith will grow and you will be happy you made this choice. Don't wait, do it tonight. Your life can become so much better once you have God. God bless.

Just repeat this prayer:

"Dear Lord God, I admit I'm a sinner. I've done a lot of things wrong in my life. Save me. Make me the kind of person You would have me to be."

Accept Christ as your savior and ask Him to forgive your sins both past and future.

You do not need to be baptized to be saved. Baptism is a public confession of your faith, not a form of salvation.

If your family members will make fun of you for being a Christian, be patient with them and pray for them. Remember, as a Christian, you are no longer a member of anything "worldly," so to speak. Jesus said that sometimes people will not like us because of our faith in Him.

All you gotta do is ask Christ into your life. It's that simple.

No, dear one, you don't get baptized before you become a Christian. All you do is accept Jesus into your heart and ask Him to forgive your sins and accept His sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, past, present and future. Then you ask a pastor to baptize you, to show the world your decision to follow Jesus. It's that simple!

God bless you in your journey!

A Christian is individual who's a follower of Christ. on the 2d you first have self assurance that Jesus died on the visit pay to your sins after which rose back after conquering dying and sat down on the suited hand of God the daddy, that's then which you belong to him and he sends his spirit to stay interior of you, liberating you from the bondage of sin. the continuing technique is the time which you examine his word to work out what he has to enable you recognize and pray to him to enable him understand the way you sense to that end construction a relationship that gets better and better. In John 3:sixteen the biggest word is "have self assurance". that's faith that saves you thru his grace and not by way of works. Ephesians 2:8-2:9

All you do is ask Jesus to forgive all your sins, come into your heart and be the Lord of your life. That's it.

You can get baptised later after you can talk to someone about your new relationship with Jesus.

I really doubt that your family will "take the piss out" of you.

To become a Christian is so easy . Please don't let anyone talk you out of it! They won't have to answer to God fpr your actions/words/des you will. To be saved one must repent of their sins(say sorry to God/commit to live righteously), be baptized in Jesus' name (specifically), and be filled w/ the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking w/ other tongues as God gives the utterance. I wish I knew where you were so I could help you more. See upci.org please. Find an United Pentecostal or Apostolic Church in your area and tell them you are ready to be baptized. They will talk it over w/ you and proceed happily.I'm thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!! You won't ever be the same. If I can help further, e-mail me.

Honey, by just saying it in your heart God knows. You don't have to have orginized religion to have His love. But, when you get older and are able to have more control over how you live your life (meaning more what you do than how you do it) you can start to find a church community and get the baptism and everything else taken care of.
