Ever heard that phrase: "you are the answer to my prayers" or "you are God sent"???
Well, do you believe that your deity, god / God sends you the answer to your prayers through another person even if that person doesn't share your religion?
For example, say I prayed to God to for a nice good friend and one day I meet this extraordinary person and we remain friends forever. However she is a Wiccan / Muslim / Buddhist / etc.?
What do you guys think?

To jugg2000_dotl: so I get the impression that you're saying that even though God meant for this to happen, He deceives people in the end by actually letting it happen??? I don't think God would do that. Why would God purposely make it happen then when you are deceived by this so-called "friend" who do you lay the blame??? =(

Absolutely. God can answer your prayers in many ways. He can use anyone to answer them, not only his followers. It may also be that your new friend he sent you of a different religion, maybe you are supposed to tell them about God and show them the truth.

I'd say yes. I believe God has a higher purpose when doing something like this but that's not always the case. Perhaps this person is the best person to be your friend. God understands we have to deal with life on a human level. We need to eat, we need shelter, we need clothes, and we need all the things humans desire and one of those things is friendship. You didn't become her friend because she is Wiccan or Buddhist and she didn't become your friend because you are a Christian. You connected as people, as human beings, and you probably both have a lot in common, excepting your faiths. Maybe later down the road there might be a discussion about each other's belief but if she is your friend, and you are her friend, then be the best friend you can be and most likely you'll get the same in return.

Absolutely. Solomon was blessed by merchants of other countries and beliefs. God caused Balaam to bless Israel instead of cursing them. God can use non-believers to be a blessing to you.
BUT!!!!!!
Your example did not reflect the working of God. The Bible says:
2 Corinthians 6:14
14 - "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"
ALWAYS refer to God's Word to get your answer. Satan can mimic a blessing in order to destroy a soul. God will NEVER disregard His own Word.
I understand that personalities mesh well together, but you have to remember that this is a Spiritual war we fight. Satan can plant a spiritual A-bomb in the nicest of packages. He's beguiled many since the beginning in this manner. If it were not that way, how would people be deceived?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Replying to your additional details:
I don't understand your take away from my answer, but seriously, God has nothing to do with that connection. Satan is who you need to be aware of. If you can't understand his devices and the way he warfares, then you're in trouble. Also, be careful with the "I don't think God..." phrase. God is above our understanding... read the book of Job and God's reply to Job at the end of his trial... it'll make you feel like nothing.
I know you may not like what I'm saying but what else can I say? I'm telling the truth.

God doesn't need another person to tell me that my prayes are accepted. God makes me feel in my heart that my prayer has been accepted. I have gotten what I asked for many times in my life when I needed help.

Who am I to limit what method God uses to communicate. I have found such communication in books, movies, tv shows, friends, class and nature. There is no limit on what God can use.

I think there is no God, so you met someone you like by random chance after you prayed, and then you became friends.

Why not? Do you think the Divine is so narrow-minded that S/He would only use people of one religion?
