Isn't it funny how everyone gets different interpretations from the Spirit when they read the Bible? If the Spirit speaks the same truth to all, then there wouldn't be so many different answers and interpretations. This is a sure sign that it is NOT by the Spirit of God but by the spirit of the devil trying to impersonate god in order to deceive men into "thinking" they have the truth. The Holy Ghost testifies the same truths, the same sound doctrines; he doesn't say one thing to one person, then says something else totally contradictory to another.

There is only one God, people interpret God in different names and forms. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe and is beyond life and death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Gain and Share utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Right, Good, God against Wrong, Bad, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

By praying before I read the Bible, I rely on God's Holy Spirit to make His Word come alive, and He does. God is SO good!

God reveals the meaning of His Word in many different ways.
Always pray before reading the Word.
Some of the ways:
Through reading it, music, prayer, preaching, discussion with other believers, quiet-time, sometimes even through the eyes of a child.
Just keep your heart receptive to God's Word and He will reveal to you what you are ready to understand.

As you read the bible and pray, God reveals the meaning of the scriptures to your mind. It is like a light suddenly came on and you can see its meaning clearly. Then you wonder why you couldn't see it before.

No, God doesn't read the bible to me, BUT he is kind enough to answer me when I pray for guidance through the Word, or when I ask for the meaning to a passage to be revealed to me.

The bible is a mirror, go on, try it. Play with it. Ask it a question and I bet the answer will bring forth another question. Keep playing the game as much as you want, religious people do. Some think they found the answer, they could be right, they could be wrong, they could be both, they could be none. They'll never know until they die. "you can contradict me, but you'll never prove me wrong" -the Bible, God, Satan, Jesus, Shades of Sorrow

He is called the Holy Spirit, and He lives in me. He leads me into all truth. That is how a believer understands God's word.
