It appears the Osmond’s have been waging an all out campaign to crown Marie the Queen on DWTS. From her fainting spell, to her father’s death (I don’t think that was orchestrated), to the Larry King Show and then her son in rehab, to Donnie on Entertainment Tonight, she and her family have been lobbying really really hard to get her the dancing ball. They are shameless. Do you think the Mormon vote will win it for her??? Don’t be surprised if they pull this one off. It is good to see that I was not the only one who thought there was something “funny” going on....

I know there is no 2+2=God, there also is no 2+2=No God. Where is the proof that God didn't create the earth the way scientists have proven? Where is that "proof?" And why can't anybody give me a straight answer.

"Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. " The book of Genesis gives basic idea's of what happend, but there is no step by step guide to what exactly he did, and what exactly happend. Its not like anybody was there to see it.

What is your definition of "God"? (or "a god[ess]" if you're pagan)?

Before you say "Check the Holy Bible" please realize that I've read it. I'm asking what YOUR definition of God is.

Since there will be many varying answers, what if anything does that say about the feasibility of any given religion getting it right? Is it important to get it right? Does your definition of God coincide with your religious teachings? Does it contradict some of them in any way? Are you honest enough to realize when it does?

Please avoid cutting and pasting, but if you must please keep it to a paragraph.

(I realize there is several questions there. Feel free to answer any, all or none of the extra questions, the Primary question is the most important.)

It's the Book of Ecclesiastes.

Why?

Because Ecclesiastes (literally "teacher") most likely wasn't some fellow sucking up and buttkissing God. No, he was probably some relatively bitter middle-aged man with the better part of his life finished, and he was passing on what he had learned.

"Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.

Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.

Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."

These are some of the wisest words I've ever read.

Fellow atheists, do you respect anything in the Bible?

I am an English teacher from England, teaching in Saudi Arabia. I have noticed that the Americans have very bad grammar.

For example they will say : 'did you eat'? when you should say 'have you eaten'? (because the time is unspecified). Since all Americans seem to make this mistake (using the past simple instead of the present perfect tense) should I just accept that they are speaking American (not English) and not correct them?

The Mother and Stepfather of the child known as "Baby Grace" beat the child, held her head under water, and threw the child across the room. What (or who) would possess them to do such a thing.

Interesting side note, this wonder couple met while playing "World of Warcraft." Any demonic connection?

Is it possible people are capable of even more evil than demons?

I have been reviewing alot of wiccan articles in the past month. I am curious and want more information. I have made the desision to do more research before I decided to go towards the wiccan Religion. and I am wondering if anyone can post any links to some good sites for me. I have seen a few and they have been helpful. I am not trying to offend any one that is a Christian. I used to be Christian. i loved it I just felt like something was missing. And i am still part Jewish. So do you have any ideas on the wiccan topic?

Blessed be

Rich Stains, what say you? Did you know that "Trichinas" is an anagram of Christian? (Trichinas - A small slender parasitic nematode worm (Trichinella spiralis) that infests the intestines of various mammals and whose larvae move through the bloodstream, becoming encysted in muscles.)

Since AD30, He, our Sovereign Creator Father-Son Jesus Christ, is fully here in Spirit and freely flooding down upon all flesh continuous Wave after Wave of God's love, mercy and ministry of all Truth of Reality to us ! See now and believe John 16:7-16 on He the Spirit of Truth, then reflect deeply on the last verses of John chapter 17.

When Jesus Personally Returns the second time; He will not reduce Himself to being restricted to just a finite human body; He will Appear in new and greater Manifestations. What do you believe or know in Spirit and in Truth that these may be or are?

Thank you believers in Jesus Christ here for sharing !

Peace and progress into all Truth !

Hi had a visit by two Mormon guys this afternoon. I found it very difficult to end the conversation as they kept insisting that if the could come in and talk to me - they had a message which would change my life! I don't let anybody in my house when I am alone. I have been left literature to read and told they will return. I felt a little intimidated and dread their return. I will talk to anybody about faith as I like to understand peoples life style, beliefs etc. What do I do - when they come back?

Payton Wright died of a cancerous spine tumor before she was 6 yo. Dick Vitale is raising money for a foundation in her name.

A little girl who knew nothing but the innocent world of 5 yos gets struck down with cancer-CANCER!-and yet every day dregs and scumbags live relatively unfettered lives.

Don't get me wrong, I've done plenty of scumbag things in my life, so I'm not judging the scumbags. I'm one of them in a sense.

But is this the work of a just God? Are you kidding me?

And don't tell me "God works in mysterious ways." That's a copout.

So God has to sacrifice an innocent child as his way of getting someone to care about something like pediatric cancer?

Couldn't he just supply divine inspiration to an extremely gifted young medical student and make the student decide to make fighting pediatric cancer his life's work?

If I can figure out a better way to solve the problem than God can, then I'm forced to conclude that thing you believe in ain't a God.

have a grasp on basic science vocabulary. Ask any of them what the word "theory" means in the context of science and they will give you an incorrect definition.

Somehow, despite an obvious lack of science knowledge, they have done the work to falsify the entire theory of evolution. I find this highly unlikely.

the best answer to someone who agrees with you, or the group the question is directed at?
For instance, if you are an atheist and direct a question towards christians, would you be more likely to give best answer to another atheist who answered, or a christian? This goes the other way, too. I have to admit I have struggled with this.

We realize as believers that everything real that is being done in the eyes of God is in the spirit and the spiritual realm. I have been so impressed with how crucial our spirit is. We know man is tripartite, made up of a spirit, soul and body as seen in 1 Thess 5:23
We are told in romans that we are to walk in the spirit. the word reveals that we pray in spirit. we worship in spirit and truth. we love in spirit we build up the body of Christ which is in spirit. How well do we know this faculty in our being that is made to match God Who Himself is Spirit. Zechariah 12:1 says that God made three amazing things in this universe. The Heavens, the Earth and the spirit of man within him. Share with us on this matter of your human spirit that has been regenerated and one with the Lord? How you see it in terms of function, purpose, operation, sense, or anything that you would like to share with us on this important part of man.

Ty so much in advance

Wouldn't it be wonderful to hear them again for just a few minutes on Christmas day? Are there other religions besides Christanity that have lost a celebrated tradition because it "may" offend others? Let's bring back everyone's old traditions. I think they would be a wonderful way to learn of other peoples beliefs and teach tolerance. Come up with answers as to why we can, not why we can't. I've already heard those. I just want to hear the church bells again.
