Einstein did have a great mind, and though he began as an atheist, as he matured in his understanding of the universe, did you know he, too, came to understand that there certainly was a Creator?

He just never could understand who that Creator was.
The Gospel of John makes it simply clear "the One who made the world came to the world, and the world did not recognize its Maker." Do you recognize who the Creator is?

Abomination in the bible was NEVER used just for homosexuality, but for some reason Christians seem to focus on it more than any other abomination, especially the ones that they themselves commit.

It is also used for eating seafood that lacks fins and scales (Levitius 11:11), eating certain birds of prey, including bats (Leviticus 11:12) and all insects (Leviticus 11:23 and 11:41) and other biblically unclean animals (Leviticus 20:25);

Here's the kicker... remarrying the person one previously divorced (Deutoronomy 24:4); telling lies (Proverbs 12:22); being proud in heart (Proverbs 16:5); justifying the wicked (Proverbs 17:15); and cheating in business (Proverbs 20:10 and Proverbs 20:23) are ALL abominations as well. If they have ever told a lie, or even if they consistently tell "little white lies" they are abominations to their god, just like homosexuals.

They justify themselves by saying Jesus died for their abominations, so why can't the say the same for homosexuals?

Did you know that the number .999... (aka .999 continued) is equal to 1?
I'm speaking of this as a matter of fact. The symbol .999... and 1 represent the same value.
Here are a couple of simple ways to establish this.
Subtract .999... from 1. You get 0.000...
Add .999... to .999.... Do it again. And again, and again. You'll notice that each time you do, the value of your sum increases by exactly 1.
Here's another way of looking at it. There is no number, no matter how small, that you can add to .999... that would make it 1. Any number you add will result in a sum of more than 1.
Keep in mind that there is no such number as .000...1. The idea of the whole "repeating" denotation is that the 0's continue on that way forever; placing a 1 on the end is a contradiction in terms.
I love a good argument, so please, tell me if I'm wrong :)

Unless the international community agrees to cut carbon emissions by half over the next generation, climate change is likely to cause large-scale human and economic setbacks and irreversible ecological catastrophes, a United Nations report says on Tuesday....

"We could be on the verge of seeing human development reverse for the first time in 30 years," Kevin Watkins, lead author of the report, told Reuters.

Dangerous climate change will be unavoidable if in the next 15 years emissions follow the same trend as the past 15 years, the report says.

To avoid catastrophic impact, the rise in global temperature must be limited to 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius). But carbon emissions from cars, power plants and deforestation in Brazil, Indonesia and elsewhere, are twice the level needed to meet that target, the U.N. authors say.

This is set forth not to be antagonistic... I really want to know why.

If God is omniscient, it stands to reason that he knew exactly what was going to happen with Adam and Eve. Why, then, would he create them knowing that they would not live up to what he would set forth as his expectations? His set forth expectations contradict his true “expectations.” He knew they would fall from grace, therefore, that is exactly what he expected. And, why would he set forth false expectations that he knew no one would ever fully live up to? Why would a "loving" God set his creations up to fail so miserably? I just don't get it. Can someone tell me why he would do this?

According to fundamentalist Christians, God allows people to be tortured for eternity for the crime of a distant ancestor, unless they accept the torture and death of God's son (who is really God) in their place.

Torture and the punishment of a person for the crimes of another are forbidden in civilized societies (though both were practised by e.g. the Nazis).

Are we better than God, and shouldn't He be taking lessons from us rather than vice versa?

I know it's not "once" as you'd have all renounced your faith sometime in the last hour, I know its not a figure under 50 as accross the board we must've asked you to prove it 50 times today it's gotta be more than a good few hundred times as or you'd have kicked God into touch in the last week or so

Surely the "prove it" rant isn't futile? surely if we ask you enough times.......(sarcasm)

Can we improve/inspire the least of Atheists toward an actual exchange of ideas?
