A question that you believe you know the answer to, and specify that the only people that should answer should be people who by definition will agree with you?

If you are an atheist and you happened to have a disagreement with someone, anyone do you assume that the person you are disagreeing with is a theist? If you receive poor customer service, confronted by a stranger who is just rude, or just taken advantage of out in public do you just assume that the person is a theist?

If a customer complains about you on the job, a fellow employee complains about you on the job, or if you are reprimanded do you assume that it is because you are an atheist and not because they could have a valid reason?

We learn now from the Bible that the Rapture will be May 21th 2011 AD.
Five month's* after, the Ultimate Terror: Judgment Day Oktober 21th 2011 AD
* And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. (Revelation 9:5)

The Bible is a Book that is absolutely true and trustworthy. It is the centerpiece, the keystone of this study.

there is a nazi here claiming to be atheist, i find this highly offensive. opinions please. i am atheist but cannot tolerate people who believe it is right to destroy a race based on religion. (before you remind me, i am aware that there is cast iron proof that hitler was a practicing catholic but do not consider him to be an example of a good christian)

I'm doing a paper about religion in the face of death, with reference to the Holocaust and how the Jewish people reacted religiously. In general how do people act religiously when they are faced with problems, fear, death, danger, etc.? Some cling to it. Some blame it for their problems and begin to question it. ANY BOOKS THAT COULD HELP WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

Christians may be "the religion with most adherents" or "an ever-growing faith" BUT "we're God's privileged people"...

"The Bible can easily defy science", "There's science in the Bible" BUT "The Bible is NOT a science book" or "It focuses on faith, not the material world"

"Everything that's in the Bible has been proved already" BUT "I don't need evidence or proof, all I need is FAITH"

"Dinosaurs never existed; they're not in the Bible and Satan/Mad Scientists planted fossils" BUT "The Behemoth is a dinosaur mentioned in the Bible"

"God is omniscient; he knows what will happen" and "God has a plan for everyone" BUT "God, please help me (ergo: change your plan)" or "The power of prayer is mighty"

"The OT law is not valid since Jesus came to die for our sins" BUT "The Ten Commandments must be followed" and "The Genesis is the true history of Creation"

Relates to a previous question about Taoism, but 2 other answers marked Confucious as a leader of Taoism. As I understand it Confucious is different and Confucianism regards respect and other acts as highly important.

Taoism is based primarily on the Tao Te Ching which is attributed to Lao Tzu (possibly not an historical figure).
The book of Chuang Tzu includes references to Confucious but Confucious is regularly pointed to as having kind of got the wrong idea, or going about it the wrong way. Taoism is often held in tandem and works alongside Confucianism but is neverhtheless a different thing.
Right?

I was totally unaware of this trend amongst our christian youth. This Emo ( Emotional) trend that includes a whole changing of how you dress and deal with your emotions. The music that you listen to and all the cutting that this trend leads to.
HOw do you see this new trend. Personally I find it very demonic and evil and has lead many young people to commit suicide. There is an estimated 2 million emo youth in the US alone
look at this clip if you can and share how you view this kind of lifestyle luring so many of our hurting young people

http://www.yikers.com/video_documentary_of_an_emo_girl_cutting_herself.html
THis Video totally broke my heart
What can we do to help our youths .

Ty for taking the time to post
I hope that this has raised the awareness of all of us as christian parents and workers

The worldwide flood that destroyed all life on earth except for Noah, his family, and the animals in the ark occurred in 4990 B.C. In 2 Peter 3 God refers back to this flood and then transitions to the destruction of the universe by fire. In verse 8 God says, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." This is interesting because God told Noah to get into the ark 7 days before He brought the worldwide flood (Genesis 7:4).

Multiplying 7 X 1000 = 7000 years (1 day=1000 years). Then 7000 years + 4990 BC = 2011 AD (year "0" must count for 1 year). Is this the year Christ will return as the "Lion of the tribe of Judah" to rapture the saints, destroy the universe bringing judgment on the ungodly, and create a new Heaven and Earth?

Before you answer, remember God told Abraham and Lot before He destroyed Sodom + Gomorrah.

just because they don't like the answer? The answer does not qualify under any of the other restrictions, so a polite well-written answer gets bounced by Yahoo because somebody claims it is not an answer. How can any answer NOT be an answer? That is ridiculous. Shouldn't Yahoo delete this potential objection because it is being misused to delete perfectly legitmate answers?

God might be looking for new prophets, either that or Satan is screwing with people's dreams. Consider the prophet Daniel, who got his start from being able to access other people's dreams from God's hard drive, and figure out what they meant. Eventually his dreams got so crazy and complex that Gabriel showed up to help. Daniel hadn't met him yet in real life yet after that point they HAD met cuz both of them remembered it. Anyway, supposing that angels, daemons, and believers can all log into the same dream sequences as their happening, it seems as if we've spotted BELIAL!! Muhammad met Belial on his night journey and thought he was Jesus, since he's got the long hair and beard. Only problem is he's ginger Irish, and he's way too obsessed with young men! Even Muhammad could tell when he saw him come out of a bathroom looking red-faced. From personal experience Belial acts like some kind of magic super-hippie whiz kid, but not to impress girls. He's a salad tosser and a pederass dude

First off, I don't read the Bible as much as I want to, and nowhere near as much as I should. Secondly, I come from a background that has taught me "how" to read the Bible, maybe a bit too well. I can take verses in context, and see how they mean what I want them to mean, and then turn around with the same verses and interpret them the opposite direction. I'm not saying I understand the Bible perfectly, b/c I know I don't, but I don't read it because I don't want to think that I am interpreting things in my "favor" just because that's what I want to hear. And NO, I'm not saying the Bible contradicts itself, either. I guess I want to understand better without thinking that I only see what I want to see. Does this make any sense?
Thanks all!
