2:97 SAY [O Prophet]: "Whosoever is an enemy of Gabriel" -who,, verily, by God's leave, has brought down upon thy heart this [divine writ] which confirms the truth of whatever there still remains [of earlier revelations], and is a guidance and a glad tiding for the believers-:
2:98 "whosover is an enemy of God and His angels and His message-bearers, including Gabriel and Michael, [should know that,] verily, God is the enemy of all who deny the truth."
2:99 For, clear messages indeed have We bestowed upon thee from on high; and none denies their truth save the iniquitous.

The only holy angel other than Michael named in the Bible; the only materialized angel to give his name. Twice Gabriel appeared to Daniel: first, near the Ulai River “in the third year of the kingship of Belshazzar” to explain Daniel’s vision of the he-goat and the ram and second, “in the first year of Darius” the Mede, to deliver the prophecy concerning the “seventy weeks.” To Zechariah the priest, Gabriel brought the good news that he and his aging wife Elizabeth would have a son, John (the Baptizer). To Mary, the virgin girl betrothed to Joseph, Gabriel declared: “Good day, highly favored one, Jehovah is with you.” He then told her that she would give birth to a son, Jesus—he “will be called Son of the Most High; and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father, . . . and there will be no end of his kingdom.”—Lu 1:26-38.
THIS Gabriel had Nothing to do with " Visiting" Mohammad or any other human after the accounts Noted Above.

In Islam, Gabriel is sort of a connector or messenger from Allah to Muhammad. Well, I'm a Muslim and from what i've learnt, Gabriel is nvr will be evil and Muhammad actually nvr promote violence and all that stuffs. Well a lot of people mistranslate the words in Koran these days. I learnt Al-Quran since i was 7 years old and it teached me to b peaceful and all the nice things..Gabriel gave Allah's words to Muhammad..and i hope you'll not believe the mistranslation of the Koran; whre people say it promotes violence and stuffs lyk that.Believe me i nvr see my parents fighting hardly coz they say Islam forbid it...Just dont blv people who know nothing bout Islam and spread lies bout it...

If you studied the history of those 3 religions you'll find that Jews grew differences in their beliefs & got divided among themselves. The same thing happened among Christians, as well as Muslims. It wasn't Gabriel who made those differences within each of those religions & it wasn't him who made the critical differences that split the 3 religions from each other.

Abgel Gabriel is the noblest of all Angeles.

It is people who follow Satan cause the trouble and not the Angels.

Satan's real name in Quran is "Iblees". There is no mention of ''Lucifer'' in Quran or any other literature of Islam.

Jibrial is not evil. Jibrial is the most favorite of all the Angels to ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) and is the highest Angel in Jinnah.

Gabriel = Lucifer ????

Interesting thought! I wonder how the others will answer this question.

edit: Wow... I love how Christians (who obviously NEVER read the Quran or Torah) possessively claim Gabriel and speak as authority figures on this matter. *snicker* How sad.

I don't think he would have that name if he were evil.
And how do you know that he did make those revelations. was it a revelation.
Seriously, IF there is an evil spirit in the world, would he use his own name !! I'm not :)

"Garbriel", eh? Well, Garbriel never gave any revelations to anybody as far as *I* know.

Jehovah revealed Himself to Moses in a burning bush for the Jews.

Jesus revealed Himself as the Son of God to all who would believe.

Mohammad made up a bunch of stuff and didn't get any revelation from any body.

Joseph Smith made up a bunch of stuff and didn't get any revelation from any body.
