I have been reviewing alot of wiccan articles in the past month. I am curious and want more information. I have made the desision to do more research before I decided to go towards the wiccan Religion. and I am wondering if anyone can post any links to some good sites for me. I have seen a few and they have been helpful. I am not trying to offend any one that is a Christian. I used to be Christian. i loved it I just felt like something was missing. And i am still part Jewish. So do you have any ideas on the wiccan topic?

Blessed be
And Ye Harm None Do What You Will,

Read as much as you can to get a variety of perspectives. That's the best thing to get yourself the basics of Wicca and paganism in general. There's a lot more out there than Wicca, and even Wicca is pretty multi-faceted. Spells *can* be a part of a Wiccan's practice, but there are purely theistic Wiccans as well. Here are a few sites to get you started:

http://www.witchvox.com
http://www.twpt.com
http://www.davensjournal.com
http://www.rendingtheveil.com
http://www.spiralnature.com
http://www.thegreenwolf.com/links.html

As for books, here are my three of my favorites:

"21st Century Wicca" by Jennifer Hunter - the most grounded intro to Wicca I've found, not just the usual "stuff"
"Contemporary Paganism" by Graham Harvey - a basic overview of some of the more common neopagan religions
"The Four Powers: Magical Practice for Beginners of All Ages" by Nicholas Graham - takes an even broader view of neopaganism, ceremonial magic, shamanism, occultism, and others, and is a *really* good book for helping you to figure out where to take your path next

You can find other books reviewed at http://lupabitch.wordpress.com

Finally, get out and talk to people--there's nothing that can replace that. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com and http://www.meetup.com and put the name of the nearest city and the word "pagan" in the search engine to find online groups of local pagans. Also, the various pagan and magic-themed communities at http://www.livejournal.com are a good resource as well. Meet folks online, then when you're comfortable check out some of the public events in your area.

I am a pagan, though not Wiccan.
ModernWiccan.com is good, and you can sign up for free, ask questions.
There are also some very helpful Wiccans on beliefnet forums, which is also free just so you know.
I'll also put a couple misc. at the bottom for you.
Reading books is also important, and I actually prefer it. It allows for more careful digestion of information. Read different authors to get a different view, and read critically. Never, ever be afraid to ask ANY question you have. Wicca and paganism in general are religions of knowledge and truthseeking.
May you be blessed in your search for your path.

most people will give you witchvox.com and I like paganspath.com. These not only cover Wicca but many of the pagan paths.
Um, when I started paganism, I real Scott Cunningham and I like him as a starting place. I eventually was lead to Asatru which is vastly different, but it was a great starting place for me.
Stay away from Silver Ravenwolf, that woman is a menace to the pagan movement. And good luck!

http://wicca.timerift.net is a good website, the best I've found on the internet. I would read there and then check out the books they have listed in their recommended reading section. The Farrars are great authors...I recommend going with them and just about anyone else they recommend on that site. Please stay away from Silver Ravenwolf...her stuff is garbage and is not Wicca, contrary to what she and her devotees may claim.

I love how people think that by saying "nooooooo stay christian" they can actually affect your free will.

My favorite for beginners is wicca.timerift.net , not only because it has a lot of information (and a book list... gotta love the book list), but it also trains to you recognize and stay away from fluffy bunnies.

Wiccans are a joke. They are the jehovahs witnesses of spiritualism. Read the al jilwah.and understand there is no true feel good faith.

Do what thou wilt as long as you are strong enough to do so.

Sure, it's fine to be a delusional Wiccan.
It's only not okay to be delusional if you are Christian.
