Interesting.... I ask that same question to a family member every other day..... their answer..."CIRCUMSTANCES"..... my response..."WELL IF YOU SAY THAT YOU BELIEVE IN GOD AND YOU HAVE TOTAL TRUST IN HIM...THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRUST HIM TO HANDLE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES WHILE YOU LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS WORD!...WHY SHOULD YOU COMPROMISE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD BECAUSE OF CIRCUMSTANCES?"
What's sad is that these people feel no type of conviction and they see nothing wrong with their lifestyle.
Bottom line is that IT IS WRONG!

We all TRY to lead by example, but we are also human and prone to weakness and error. I lived with my now husband for 6 months before we married. Both of us were against living together, but we did. Why? Because I had a son that was the result of a rape and my husband didn't want another day to go by without him having a father. He didn't want to miss one more thing in his life and, since we lived in different states, the only way we could see one another on a regular basis was for us to move in with him. We had already set our wedding date and we knew we were going to married, we had already made the commitment before God and to one another, the rest was governmental paper work.

Short and to the point:
Those so called "church people" you refer to, are simply hypocrites for not following what they learn at their church.
People that you see doing that, should not be followed but instead are part of the anti-Christ which goal is to draw people away from the truth.

I've wondered that too. i have a holier than thou christian friend that shacks up with her boyfriend, yet in church every Sunday...
and she's fast to tell you about your sins, and how u will go to hell... it's so funny how the belief that as long as you believe in Jesus you automatically go to heaven will have people doing the wildest things. my friend has sex, drinks all the time, lies, does whatever she want, because at the end of the day her church said she'll still go to heaven anyway... so she's probably thinking, why give up my fun, I'm still getting in...

I certainly wouldn't be looking to church people for an example on how to conduct myself.

You're in need of something if you have to look to church people for examples.

Being a Christian and/or going to church doesn't mean you are a perfect person and those who try to act as if they are are lying.
