It's main message is that love as a way of life is the only way to God. This was Jesus's message.
The rest of it are parts that individually, don't add up to their whole impact. It's love and the opposite of love is not hate, it's laziness. If you're too lazy to invest time and effort into reading Holy Scripture, praying, and seeking with a pure heart, the chances are good that any summary of the Bible will go right over your head.

It's much more than just reading the Bible.
You need to understand what you are reading.To do that you need to be taught what the Bible contains.That way you will get the most out of it. You will learn about our Creator,his qualities,his will for mankind,his purposes.
Only then can you begin to develop a love for Jehovah God
Contact Jehovahs Witnesses at your nearest Kingdom Hall.Someone there would be only too happy to conduct a free home bible study with you.

that's a tough one. I would say to read Romans chapter 9 and the book of Ephesians, but since you want to be saved the time of reading the Bible that's probably not what you wanted to hear.

It shows people in very bad situations.An how God worked in their lives.An the over all plan.No you don't have to read.But then ou would left to other peoples perspective.At lease read the book of Romans.
