It appears the Osmond’s have been waging an all out campaign to crown Marie the Queen on DWTS. From her fainting spell, to her father’s death (I don’t think that was orchestrated), to the Larry King Show and then her son in rehab, to Donnie on Entertainment Tonight, she and her family have been lobbying really really hard to get her the dancing ball. They are shameless. Do you think the Mormon vote will win it for her??? Don’t be surprised if they pull this one off. It is good to see that I was not the only one who thought there was something “funny” going on....

No one likes to see a bad sport and Marie’s backtalk to the judges tonight was unprecedented in the show’s history. This poor sportsmanship is not working in her favor and she totally misses that it’s only by a fluke that she’s in the finals. People didn’t vote for Sabrina earlier on, confident that she would win, so they voted for who they wanted not to get kicked off. We know what happened there.

It’s also been uncomfortable hearing Marie’s partner argue on Larry King that it’s not about the dancing. Do they think they can spin their way to winning?

In spite of rumors that the Osmonds are doing a major campaign to get votes from people who ordinarily would not watch the show, I predict she will be the first one off tomorrow night and that Mel or Helio will win.

AND I LOVE THE OSMONDS!

Probably a good lot of them are but it won't work for her because talent won out. IRiSH

I voted for Marie, too, until the finals. I'm not Mormon; I'm just an Osmond fan. When I felt like she shouldn't go on then I stopped voting for her. That family has been performing for 50 years! They have accumulated a lot of fans over that time. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean you should make it personal. Donny being a special correspondent for those shows shouldn't have had any bearing on her votes. I don't think he would be unfair to the other dancers just because Marie is his sister. My husband told me last night that Donny said Marie was the weakest dancer. I thought Mel and Max should have won, too, but I think some of you put too much importance on a television show and I also think there are a lot of mean spirited people out there.

I'm Mormon, I tried to vote last night (never did get through) but I wasn't trying to vote for Marie - My vote would have been for the race car driver. I didn't watch hardly any of DWTS this season but I saw everyone's last dance last night. And I don't know WHAT Marie was thinking - it's like she was throwing it on purpose. From what I understand there were more talented women dancers earlier in the show but their fan base wasn't as strong. I don't know if her fainting spell was orchestrated, but it could look like it was, and the fact that they publicized her son's rehab entry - makes me wonder if they weren't trying to get her name out there more in any way possible. I like the fact that more Mormons are showing up on TV, that they aren't afraid to declare their religion. And I can completely see how non-Mormons would think that we're somehow block voting for Marie just because she's a Mormon regardless of her talent level. But for me, that's simply not true. And I really don't think any of my Mormon friends would do that either. Even though I really wanted a woman to win DWTS, I REALLY hope Marie doesn't win it. She's not talented enough. Even though it's degraded to a popularity contest, it's SUPPOSED to be about talent. Marie is "Entertaining", but she's not the most talented of this season's stars, and certainly not the most talented of the final three. I don't know what she's hoping for, I mean she may want the title, but in the end it's just a dumb tv show and the fact that she's going after it like it was the Celestial Kingdom concerns me.

I haven't voted for her because I've been at work and only caught part of one dance number on a night I was ill. So since I haven't actually seen her dancing, I don't feel it's right to vote for her. However, I did pray for the family when George Osmond died. I don't mind that the Osmonds have been in the news a lot recently, so it's not necessarily something "funny" going on. It may mean that someone somewhere needs to make a decision, and seeing the Osmonds so often will influence him or her to make a decision. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

I - for one - don't see anything "funny" going on ... I'm sure the Mormons have BETTER things to do besides try to get Marie the dancing ball. As for Donnie on Entertainment Tonight ... hello?! He's been on T.V. ever since he could talk!!

I haven't seen Marie yet on 'Dancing', but I still remember her from the Donnie and Marie Show ... and I think that she's got as good a chance as anybody without "Divine Inteference".

What's up with the Mormon Conspiracy Theory anyway? If Marie and Donnie were Catholic, Atheist or Taoist, and these things happened ... would people still be insisting that the people she was affiliated with were committing 'foul play'?

LDS here, and not voting. I haven't watched the show. So in answer to your question, no, all the Mormons are not voting for Marie Osmond.

There are a lot of non-Mormon people that remember Marie as the cute little teenage girl on the Donnie & Marie show. That fan base is probably what is keeping her going. If this is the most sinister conspiracy theory that concerns you-- perhaps getting a life is in order.

Mormon here who isn't voting for Marie --

But I admire her spunk, charm and humor -- it's interesting to see that the personality and fun she displayed on the Donnie & Marie show so many years ago wasn't just written in. Also goes to show nice girls don't always finish last.

I've been wondering if Marie's been getting "sympathy" votes from the viewers: the fall, her father's death. She's certainly not in the finals because of her dance moves.

Did you see the results show last night? It was so bizarre that I told a friend of mine that I wouldn't be surprised at all if she wins.

DWTS-sucked this year. I was very disappointed.
