In 2 Peter 2:9 we see a striking verse...
" But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. a people acquired for a possession so that you may tell out the virtues of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Light.... Hallelujah!
Rev 5:10
And have made them a kingdom of priests to our God and they will reign on the earth.
In Christ we are a Royal Priesthood.SO yes.. am I a priest, even though I am a sister? Sure I am. This transcends gender, background, race, educational background, and any other human qualification.
A priest functions to bring God to men and men to God by means of prayer and intercession. There are many in our Lives that the Lord has put there for us to bear up in prayer. SOme for their salvation, some for their going on in the Lord, some for the Lord to touch them and warm them up from any kind of coldness and indifference toward Him. If we are those willing we will offer up incense of prayers before the throne of Grace, giving God a way to carry out His will on the earth as it is in the heavens.

Yes, but not part of the unBiblical priesthood or Rome, but part of the general priesthood of the body of Christ (1Pt. 2:9), which every believer is.
The word for priest hiereus [2409] is different than the word for Apostle [G652=ambassador], Elder [G4245=old, mature] or Bishop [G1985=overseer] or Pastor G4166=shepherd], which all denotes the same office (Titus 1:5-6; Eph. 4:11), and are the only pastors that the New Testament ordains (1Tim. 3).
No priests were ever ordained, as of their primary functions is different. A priest was to offer up sacrifices for sins (Heb. 5:1), and this Rome supposes they do in offering up the Mass, which is held to have the power to expiate sins, by applying Christs merits through an ongoing literal sacrifice in which they suppose they turn wine and bread into the Lord;s corporeal flesh and blood to be consumed. However, the Lord is not turned into bread, and no sacerdotal priesthood is ordained for such, rather the job of a Bishop/Elder or pastor is to be an overseer, and to feed the flock with the Word of God (1Pet. 5:2). The Catholic Eucharist is simply not Biblical (another post).
Finally, the ultimate error of Rome is that of fostering dependence upon her supposed powers, as well as one's own merits, for salvation, rather than coming before God as sinners, destitute of any merit whereby they may escape Hell and gain Heaven, and thus cast all their faith upon Christ and His blood for justification and regeneration (Rm. 3:9 - 5:8; Eph. 1:13; Titus 3:5). And having turned from sin to Him, be baptized under water (Acts 8:37) and walk in newness of life (Rm. 6). And so glorify God alone!!

No. Was church connected and educated, but these days that and about $3.75 will buy me a fancy latte. I have always been more or less poly-religious/spiritual , and I don't claim any special ( ha ha) expertise or credentials. Too, I have observed that for many "elevation": to the priesthood or the ministry is an ego trip, and can lead a spiritual dead end. Am still learning whats best for me, so I don't feel entitled to tell others what "god" wants them to do, other than to practice the Golden Rule.

Ministerial Priesthood: No.
General Priesthood: Yes.
In fact, St. Augustine described a father's role as being that of a bishop within his own home. Apparently this caused quite a stir when it was brought up at the Second Vatican Council. lol
