Bril - maybe you can answer the question. I am surprised at the reluctance of JW's to answer this.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jn. 14:6

Looks like Jesus is the ONLY one who saves...

If the jw's say jehovah, are they calling God a liar?

God can't lie. Titus 1:2

These verses might help the jw's. 1 Tim. 3:16, Ex. 3:14, Jn. 8:58, Rev. 1:8, 17-18, Jn. 1:1, 14, Phil. 2:5-8, Heb. 2:9, Col. 2:9, Gal. 4:4-5

Salvation: Preservation or deliverance from danger or destruction. That deliverance may be from the hands of oppressors or persecutors. For all true Christians, Jehovah provides through his Son deliverance from the present wicked system of things as well as salvation from bondage to sin and death. For a great crowd of faithful servants of Jehovah living during “the last days,” salvation will include preservation through the great tribulation.

The name Jesus literally means "Jehovah is salvation."

So, Jesus' own name really just magnifies God's name. Jesus said that "God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son." In other words, Jehovah made the provision for salvation by sacrificing Jesus.

Both.

--==Sinners Like Me==--

Maybe you should actually discuss the Bible with a JW's first before you call one wrong.

Jesus saves us by means of his life, which he gave for the entire world. But the one who gave the ransom was the Father.

Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Based on Ephesians, it states that we are saved by the grace of God, and the reason why were saved by grace is because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Both are required, but Jehovah is the ultimate Savior;

Jehovah chose to sent Jesus to pay the ransom.

Without Jehovah sending his Son, or his accepting the price, there is no salvation.

If Jesus had not volunteered to come in Jehovah's name;
If Jesus had failed in remaining faithful;
If Jesus had sinned;

Then there would be no salvation.

Jehovah could have used any method he wanted to provide salvation for man.

Jehovah chose to use his only begotten, firstborn Son.

Jesus is Jehovah God.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1:1-5

"Emmanuel" means that God is with us. Which is Jesus.

Jehovah God is identified as the principal Savior,the only source of deliverance.(Isa.43:11;45:21).
He was the Savior and deliverer of Israel time and time again.Often his salvation was through men raised up by him as saviors.(Ne.9:27).
When Jesus was on earth,Jehovah was his Savior,supporting and strengthening him to maintain integrity through his strenuous trials.(Heb.5:7;Ps.28:8)
Along with his role as Savior,Jehovah is also the "Repurchaser".(Isa.49:26; 60:16).
In the past he redeemed his people Israel from captivity.In delivering Christians froms sin's bondage,he does the repurchasing through his Son Jesus Christ (1Jo 4:14),Jehovah's provision for salvation,who is therefore exalted as "Chief Agent and Savior"(Acts. 5:31).
Accordingly Jesus can rightly be called "our Savior" even though he performs the salvation as the agent of Jehovah .The name Jesus means "Jehovah is Salvation".This name points out that Jehovah is the source of salvation accomplished through Jesus Christ.For this reason we find the Father and Son spoken of together in connection with salvation.(Tit.2:11-13;3:4-6).
The ransom sacrifice is the basis for salvation,and as King and High Priest,Christ Jesus has the authority and power "to save completely those who are approaching God through him"(Heb.7:23-25;Rev.19:16).

When the Bible says Jehovah is our Saviour it means that Jehovah made some measures that only he could make being the only true God so that the mankind could be saved.

"... and all flesh will have to know that I, Jehovah, am your SAVIOUR and your Repurchaser, the Powerful One of Jacob." -- Isaiah 49:26

When the Bible says that Jesus is our Saviour it means that he is the instrument through which God will save the humankind (Jesus' sacrifice).

"Because there was born to you today a SAVIOUR, who is Christ [the] Lord, in David’s city." -- Luke 2:11

They do not believe in salvation at all. They teach only that 144,000 will go to heaven. The rest who are not annihilated will be live on the earth forever.
