There is no marriage in the after life.

We have been discussing this alot lately, we are married on earth so that we do not sin, God made Eve for Adam so he would not be lonely in the beginning, and God made marriage so that we would not be sinning and be thrown into the fire.
The Bible gives an example of how the widow, marries the brother, and on until she had been married seven times, then it asks who should she be married to then.

Jesus expains that in the resurrection they do not marry or are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in Heaven.

So I believe we will be as angels, and their will not be any more marriage in Heaven between us, but as Jesus Christ will return and receive His Bride, which would Be Us.

There is not enough time or space here to adequately answer this question. But as Paul states there are no sexes in heaven. God is referred to as he, but in fact God is neither male or female. The gender terms are used in scripture for our benefit, because of our limited ability to understand spiritual matters.

In heaven there is no marriage. In a very rare Biblical specific about angels, we learn that they are not sexual beings.

Jesus was answering a question which involved resurrection asked by a person who believed there was no such thing... That clue usually throws modern readers off just a bit.

This is an answer to a question by the Sadducees. The question is as follows:

23The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

24Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

25Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

26Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

27And last of all the woman died also.

28Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Angels in heaven are the lights and energies that carry out the will of God, not only in heaven but on earth as well. According to the Quran and the Bible Adam (man) has dominion over all of the earth and all things in the earth (Genesis I). So these same lights and energies are subject first to God and then to Man, in this earthly realm.

The Sadducees rejected the teachings of the Pharisees or the oral tradition (Kabbalah) and took a literal interpretation of the Torah. They were not able to see the allegory in the Holy text. The purpose and structure of the question by the Sadducees was to disprove the concept of the resurrection (which we see interestingly enough preceded the resurrection of Jesus).

Now part of the oral tradition involves the 10 sefirot. These are 10 lights or energies that make up our consciousness. There also exist a similar structure in God. The second light is Abba / Hockmah or father / wisdom. The third light is Emma / Binah or mother / understanding. The union of Hockmah and Binah directly involves Shekinah (Holy Ghost) that is that spirit or angel that has the best interest of man at heart or the Holy comforter. The state of the consciousness of man is reflected back to him in the outward radiance (or reality). This is done in such a way as to lead us to the state of consciousness (the Christ) where we can reveal the ultimate good. Not only for ourselves but also for all.

Did I lose you or are you with me so far?

So the resurrected soul is the one that realizes the Light of God within or the spirit of Christ, the divine love of God, God consciousness attained to faith, Son of God, being reborn, the tree of life or whatever you wish to call the realized spirit of God in man (or a man). Thus this soul is an agent of God as is an angel, that metaphysically alters reality via the light, love and energy of God.

So then when Abba Hockman (father / wisdom) marries Emma Binah (mother / understanding) in perfect divine love, the result is the indwelling spirit of Christ realized and thus all becomes one and the duality of marriage is no more. There is no you and I but only us. The oneness of God is realized in the unity of divine love of all.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

Love all, Serve all. Love your God with all your heart and all your soul. Said another way, Love your neighbor as your love yourself. This is the entire law, everything else is commentary. The dogma, rite and ritual of man tend to cover up this fundamental truth. Which by the way exist in one form or another in all "Holy Text" including but not limited to the Torah, Bible, Quran, Bhagavad-Gita, Vedas, Upanishads or many, many more.

For many this all rings true and resonates. For those who qualify, seek out a teacher that is realized. When you see them you will know.

You did ask for a serious answer …. Right?

Prayerfully you will see the light of love in this answer.

Blessings and peace to all,
All in all.

There is no marriage in Heaven. Only between Christ and his bride, ( the church ) there is no marriage between man and woman. So temple marriages like the LDS practice are an abomination to the Lord.

Angels have no gender. In heaven, we will be as the angels. No gender. No marriage.

In heaven, all are spiritually married to Jesus. We don't go to heaven to be with loved ones from our lives on earth. We go to worship the Lord of all.

Anyone that doesnt like that may wish to consider the alternative.

Most would have you believe this means there will be no marriage (and, therefore, no more children) after Jesus comes back to receive all of the righteous unto Himself. One poor deluded soul, here on Y!A, even went so far as to think God was going to remove all sexual parts when He gives us our immortal bodies in the hereafter -- so that we would be genderless (as the angels are thought to be).

Mat. 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Mat. 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mat. 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Mat. 22:31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
Mat. 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
Mat. 22:33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

First let me say that it won't bother me one bit what plans God has for His People in the hereafter -- because I'll just be happy to be there. Won't you? However, exactly what did Jesus say in the above passage? Did He say there would *never* be any marrying or giving in marriage at all? No, He didn't. Also, did He say no one would be married in the resurrection? No, He didn't. He said no one would marry nor be given in marriage. These are active, verb, forms. To be "married" is a noun -- a state of being. Furthermore, did Jesus actually state that the angels are genderless? No, He didn't.

You know what I believe? I believe this is another example of where Christ gave a tricky, but 100% true, answer in order to put off His questioners whom were trying to trick Him as an excuse to denounce Him. He merely said we will be as the angels -- in the same sentence in which He referred to the activity of getting married. That is enough to put off those whom like to jump to conclusions. But what else could it mean? Well, the angels are giving glory to God all the time in Heaven -- so, no doubt about it, we will be giving glory to God all the time, too.

Here is an example of another one of those tricky answers:

Mat. 22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.
Mat. 22:16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Mat. 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Mat. 22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
Mat. 22:19 Show me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
Mat. 22:20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
Mat. 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
Mat. 22:22 When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left him, and went their way.

So, what do I believe is the answer to this question of marriage in the life hereafter? First and foremost, I have faith in Who God is. I believe, and the Bible states, that God does not change (Psalm 89:34; Malachi 3:6). Therefore, I just have to answer a few questions to know what God thinks of all this.

1) Did God not establish marriage Himself in the Garden of Eden *before* there was a sin interruption in His Perfect Plan?
2) Will God not reestablish His Perfect Plan once sin and all unrepentant sinners have been permanently destroyed for all time?
3) Did God not say that whatever He has brought together let none put asunder? ...and since, He doesn't change, would that not include Himself?
4) Do you think God is going to hand Adam and Eve divorce papers in the life hereafter?
5) Presuming that marriage is a Divine Institution which will not be abolished, what is a family without children?
6) I think it is pretty self-evident that God loves children. Why would He be any different in the life hereafter?
7) As for population growth for an immortal race, why would anyone think that God intended the human race to be permanently restricted to this one planet? Perhaps each galaxy was created for its own race of beings to have plenty of room for its population to grow and spread out -- and ours is the Milky Way?

1Cor. 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
