We all have common ancestors. In fact, comparison of mitochondrial DNA found in Africa with everyone on earth indicates we are ALL closely related. So-called racial differences are only skin deep.
So if any of us are bad, then we are ALL bad. One might even say, "we have met the enemy and it is us!"
To point to any culture and say they are better or worse than another is typically self serving propaganda attacking that culture. So what's you agenda then, eh?

All civilizations started off as 'savages.' Certain tribes of native Americans were quite warlike. Not so much against the American settlers, mind you-- They had plenty of time to kill each other before Americans got there. And don't fool yourself into thinking that Europeans invented conquest and slaughter, either. Africans were enslaving each other long before Europeans decided to start buying them and shipping them away.
History may display native Americans as more primitive and 'savage,' but look far enough back and every civilization was that way if not much worse. You really can't think of these things with such a narrow scope. In more recent history, Europeans might have been the violent and greedy ones, but as other posters have pointed out, it's not unique to them.
Oh, and my great-great-great-great-grandpappy was a peasant farmer who didn't bother anyone, thank you very much.
You know how I know? I'm Japanese.
And one last thing. Columbus? Yeah, we don't like Columbus here in Hawaii. He was an all-around prick.

I've got my Indian card in my wallet proclaiming my heritage of Native American. My blue eyes and light skin hint at my other heritage, that of the Celts and Anglo-Saxons. My ancestors came over, settled in the Ozarks and merged with the Indians, not wiping them out.
If you actually do some research into Native Americans you'll find that they fought each other for land, had slaves and there were massacres of European settlers.

Greed, self-preservation, and aggression are not unique to any particular race or nationality. Self-deprication seems a little less common, but we of European descent seem to do that pretty well when writing our most recent history books.

I'm sure the native Americans and Aborigines fought and killed each other often enough, we just had better technology.
Is this a religious / spiritual question? Nope.

you're gonna get maybe hundreds of responses to this, and they are all going to be different. it's not whether one race were/are the saveges of this world, it's all depending on your experiences and your view on the world.
