Do you believe that life starts at conception? For those who are religious, when do you think a baby receives it's "soul"?

What about the 50%+ fertlized eggs that abort on their own?

If you believe life does start at conception, why do you count your age from the point of birth? Wouldn't that mean your life started at the point of birth?

Do you think you that eggs that are fertlized and are miscarried go to heaven? Hell? Anywhere?

No. The Jews do not consider these official cannon. Jews are the chosen people of God, not Roman Catholics.

If the Jews don't include those in their scripture, how then should Christians include them in our Old Testement?

Read this article. I read somewhere else that a nine year-old rape victim received the same fate. Isn't this a load of crap? As if she wanted to get raped...

It's true that something like 30-40% of all rape accusations that are reported are false. But that's only the US statistic. In Saudi Arabia, the vast majority of complaints are true, and even after the court proves the defendants' guilt, the victim is still punished. What kind of legal system is this?

No wonder crime rate is so high there. The assailant can always get away with it.

Did you know that incest wasn't wrong until God gave the law to Moses? Abraham was married to his sister & Issiac to his cousin. Ge 25:20 Morality defination

2. how right or wrong something is: the rightness or wrongness of something as judged by accepted moral standards
3. virtuous behavior: conduct that is in accord with accepted moral standards
4. moral lesson: a lesson in moral behavior
So western morality is based on the 613 laws God gave Moses at Mt Siani other cultures base their moral standards on other Gods or religious traditions

i mean it`s in the bible that mnay will not believe doesn`t that make you realize you`re wrong? what do you base upon denying the existence of God. and it makes me really sad that there are so many people that simply don`t believe without even trying to ask god to show them is he exists. Don`t you have any doubt in your hearts? do you risk living an eternity in hell. That`s it for you? around 70 years living...and then everything ends? wouldn`t you ask God for a sign and that way you`d be sure.

Look at all the things that have been taken away from christians
Can't have the 10 commadments in a court of law
schools have been ridiculed to the point of NOT having christmas programs, they are now called (holiday programs)
they have completely taken God out of schools, but can teach OTHER religions. why is this?
Athiest's throw fits when people display a nativity scene.(this happend in Florida, and anything that had to do with Christ had to be removed.
The 13th fold of an american flag repesents God, witch they do at military funerals before they give the flag to the family. has now been banned. Isn't the Athiest community forcing their belief on us? by throwing fits all the time just because they don't share the same belief as Christians. So we are the ones that have to bow to them, what makes this right or fair?

on Social Issues? since every Government who embraced Atheism or communism failed such as Stalin who do you embrace on social issues? who do you think has the right to dictate morality, economics, society as a whole?

Think about it-----if you have done everthing you possibly can do & the very best you can do why should you be jealous if you did not succede with your efforts?You have nothing to be ashamed of if thats the casde.But many people that are jealous are the ones who sit around & do nothing & end up on the short end of the stick & they get jealous which is a form of anger.What they dont realize is that they are actually angry at themselves.You cannot spell success without failure think about it & give your honest opinion.Thanks

I was listening to a preacher talking to an audience about how all of our friends that don't believe in the Lord (if we have any) are going to hell. I have a friend doesn't believe in God because he doesn't think that a god sounds very logical for the reason of life. I don't agree with my friend because I am a Christian, nor do I agree with the preacher. I don't think that God would send people to hell if they don't believe in him. What if one person heard from two religions with different gods that they will go to hell if they don't believe in them? Well then they are stuck and they have no idea what the right thing to do is. I say the right thing to do is the thing you think you should do and I hope that gods of all religions believe that too.

So tell me what you think.

I enjoy seeing most everyone's ideas, answers and the like but I am wondering why this one simple statement is twisted into hellish behavior. You don't actually have to be Christian to understand this concept but why do we neglect the sheer power of love. You might think this is drippy and that's OK.
Why have conditions? Why not just love? (No I have not been hitting the eggnog with rum early:) All thoughts welcome. Namaste

I have been reading some questions from athiests on Y!Answers. I am taken aback by the hatred and rage toward Christians and God. Why lump all Christians together? Surely in all your wisdom you could fathom the idea that Christians aren't all judgemental, condescending hypocrites?! I consider it the same behavior as racism. You lump all Blacks, Muslims, etc into one category because of a ignorant few. Can any of you non-believers give me some idea of why you hate me because I believe in the God?

The many woman who are told their babies have a birth defect but then give birth to perfectly healthy babies? I know at least 5 women who were told their babies were seriously deformed and would survive and that they would be grossly deformed if they livet. Yet all 5 moms had perfect babies.

Do you think some doctors tell women this to get women to abort because they think the world is overpopulated?

Some people take great hope in this verse because they construe it to mean that everyone will become saved. In reality, doesn't simply mean everyone will bow and recognize the King of the Universe? We all submit to His Judgment. That doesn't mean we're saved.

I find this somewhat sad.

As some of you can tell from my questions and answers, i am not a religous person. However when arguing about abortion, i tend to be against abortion. I believe human life begins after the egg and sperm meet, and that abortion is the killing of a human life. I do value all human life, so therefor i am against abortion. However, when i argue with pro choicers, they always begin their argument by calling me a religious nut...am i crazy for valuing human life, yet not being a 'christian'?..help fellow pro life atheists...
