That's your choice, see that's the beauty of being pro-choice.

No, I see this as an ethical question, not a religious one.
The religious right would like to make it their own. They happily ignore the parts of the bible that indicate that God is O.K. with abortions and that babies are not a person until they are actually a year old. Check out Exodus.
Meanwhile, what is the difference between a fertilized egg and a cancer cell? Both are alive, both have DNA different from the host. Neither can survive without the host.
What is the difference between a blastula and a parasite?
To me, a 1 day 'old' fertilized egg is no more a human being than a cancer cell is. there is a difference in potential, but it is not certain.
On the other hand, a 8th month fetus is definitely a human being.
The problem is deciding a point between that day one and day 260 that the fetus becomes human.

Well, let's see. You already answered your question yourself.
And consider this. I am also anti-abortion. It is a terrible thing to do. But I am pro-choice. People should choose to not have abortions. They should not be forced by law to carry out an unwanted and possibly unhealthy pregnancy.
Abortions will take place no matter how you and the religious nuts feel about it. The science and technology is there, and it will be used. As long as there is a demand, there will be a supplier. If you people make it illegal for a doctor to perform an abortion using the safest methods available, you are forcing the women who seek abortions to turn to more dangerous means. Would you rather them be at home jabbing themselves with coathangers? Or perhaps flying or driving to Mexico to have it done by an unlicensed doctor?
If you people want to stop abortions, you need to figure out how to prevent the unwanted pregnancies before they occur. Punishing people who perform abortions will not make the problem of unwanted pregnancies go away. Think about it.

As a pro choicer, I am against abortion when it comes to my own self, but I believe anyone should make his decision. Since there is no authority able to decide either it is right or wrong, we can't force our mind on everyone. I have friends that had abortions so I kinda understand them, I can't judge what they did.
I know there was a studdy that confirmed an embryo can't feel a thing in the first 3 weeks, so I would encourage anyone who wants to make an abortion to do it in those first 3 weeks (if they know about the pregnancy, many don't)

No one is "pro-abortion", it's pro-choice. But I never call anyone a religious nut just because they're anti-abortion. While I share different views, because there are good reasons for abortion, I'm not going to write someone off as a religious person because they value human life. I value human life, also, but I'm pro choice.

Being pro life is nothing to do with being a christian its to do with being a human being. If you have ever seen an image of an aborted fetus that should be reason enough for anyone to be pro life. I am against abortion always have been regardless of what religious denomination i belonged to or not at all. I would provide a link but i cannot bring myself to look at the image again. That poor babies head was taken right off as where its limbs so it could be removed. Its a crime.

I am not a religious person and far from it and I believe abortion is flat out murder.
In the case of rape-- kill the rapist not the child,
why should the child pay for the crime of the father.
Child vs health of mother, very few cases have proven this to be the case- it`s used mainly for an excuse.
To prevent back alley abortions, In the past less people had died from them ,because stronger moral standards were the norm then.
Since abortion became legal in 73- more than 40 million children have been slaughtered, females still die from botched legal abortions and suicide and breast cancer has a link to having had an abortion.
Most abortion clinic`s are in Black (Eugenics)and Bluecollar neighborhoods.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with religion. It's you personal feeling and opinion. My personal view is that I personally would never do it unless there was a VERY serious, life threatening problem for myself or the baby. Otherwise, for other people, it's their choice because it depends on how they feel about it. There are MANY facts supporting the case of both pro-life and pro-choice people. I don't like abortion, but I don't think someone who has one is a terrible, cold-blooded murderer -- unless it's partial-birth (which is DISGUSTING, period). Anyway. What does any of this have to do with religion, unless you go around saying you hate abortion because "the bible says it's bad" which isn't even very accurate anyway. Some people are just judgemental and sadly misinformed.

It is absolutely possible. I too, am anti-abortion, though I am pro-choice, which makes for an even bigger quandry. Abortion is not for me, and I don't like the idea of anyone doing it. But I can't figure out how it is my right to legislate or judge someone else's difficult decision to have such a procedure.
You don't have to be a religious nut to believe what you want to believe. It is, without question, your right to value human life, regardless of the reasoning behind that belief.
Have a blessed day!

There are many pro-life atheists. See, for example, the website of the Atheist and Agnostic Pro-Life League at:
http://www.godlessprolifers.org
You don't have to be religious to recognize that killing an innocent human being is wrong. Every abortion kills an innocent human being. For more information on abortion, see:

I think that's fine.
I believe a fertizlied egg is human life, but not a person. An unfertlized egg is human life as well, and our bodies abort them once a month! Sperm is human life as well, wouldn't it be wasting human life when a man masterbates?
As well, if life started at the point of conception, why count our age from the moment of birth?
And yes, it is my body, and only mine. Sorry, but an egg is not a body! It's a potentional human, fertilized or not.
If a married couple does not want children, and are using protection, wouldn't it be wrong to deny them the right to have sex? They're married!
