I feel the need for god in my life. Many people have told me I need to pick the god that's right for me. I know there are a lot of religions out there and I don't know which one I want to devote myself to. Also, I want to believe in the real one, not just any god, thanks!

give it away if you choose,
do you see now,
you decide.

a few moments ago I was looking for a link on Buddhism
the first link I found on a YA search was a wiki link
and even though it gave me some content of the page on the search page ... when I clicked on the link it took me to the wiki page
but all it had on the page was
" Buddhism sucks " by anonymous
I think it had been hacked ... and then my pc went nuts and I had to close it down
I will probably have to do a virus check now
can someone do this ? hack into something like wiki ?

anyway thought I would warn you all just incase

are the jewish people only supposed to befriend other jewish people?

Check Sanhedrin 55b: "A Jew may marry a three year old girl".
Check Sanhedrin 54b: "A Jew may have sex with a child as long as long as the child is less than nine years old"
Check Kethuboth 11b: "When a grown up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing."

Are jews saying these citations are incorrect? Are they saying this posting is racist? What of their endless claims that Muslims supposedly practice pedophilia and that the Koran supposedly contains passages such as the above? Would any jews care to respond intelligently by addressing the above-cited quotations,or for that matter substantiate their accusation - racist in my opinion - that Islam condones pedophilia? Try to avoid name-calling and stick to the matter at hand. Cite from your own sources the above passages as they are recorded in your edition of the Babylonian Talmud,if you are claiming this information is false.

That a woman should not be president? She would be in charge over men, so isn't that going agaisnt what the bible tells us? I understand the 2/3 vote, but is there any other scenarios that no one could "veto" what she would "order" to be done?

I consider myself to be spiritual and having a close relationship with the Lord. How do you think the Lord would feel about me having to work in a casino environment? I know it isn't illegal, but I have some concerns about this type of employement. Mostly, I guess it's a moral dilemma for me. I don't cheat anyone but I do feel that what I do for a living is not a positive contribution to this world. I have to make a living, and my job pays me fairly well. It's just such a dilemma for me. I am the sole support for my family. Please help me with this issue.

The problem is not weather do you believe or not, but the the fanatism? That we could all live fine if everyone just keep their beliefs to their own and separated from their work or social behavior

Counting the Cost

And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it. . . . "

— Luke 14:27–28

When Jesus was in Jerusalem during the Passover, John's Gospel tells us that many believed in His name after they saw the signs He did. But Jesus did not entrust himself to them, because "He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man" (John 2:24–25).

To put it simply, many believed in Him, but He did not believe in them. Many believed in Him, but their faith was superficial. It was shallow. It was based on the moment, not on a real commitment. Thus, Christ did not commit himself to them.

There are a lot of people who say they want to follow Jesus. And that is good. But that commitment will be challenged. We must decide to follow Jesus not because our best friend is, not because our boyfriend or girlfriend is, not because our parents are, but because we have chosen to follow Christ.

Many of us can get caught up in the moment. It's like watching an Olympic medal ceremony. We see someone representing their nation standing up on that pedestal. As the gold medal is placed around the athlete's neck and the flag of his or her country is raised while the national anthem plays, we say, "I want to be an Olympic athlete. That is what I want to do." But do we realize the hours, days, months, and years these athletes dedicate to one competition?

We get excited about the medal ceremonies. But are we willing to go through the training? Are we willing to count the cost? Is our commitment to Him and Him alone? Are we willing to be real followers of Jesus?

Trust me, I'll believe it when I see it. I know it'll be too late, but this "end time prophecy" is just plain laughable. So if you had to give a rough estimate, when do you think Jesus Christ is going to return, based on what you read in the Bible?

I am not really into this aspect of religion so I might be way off.

If Adam and Eve were the first two people on earth, doesn't that mean everyone is inbred? How can two persons have enough children to populate the earth to 6, 000, 000, 000?

I find the idea of Adam and Eve so odd. Evolution seems more likely IMO.

A lot of people are generally talking about the End of Times?

I've seen tons of documentaries, talk shows, and apocaplyptic music/bands surfacing now and are geared towards End Time prophecy.

I just find it interesting now considering 10 years + this was hardly talked about or even mentioned... now i'm seeing it everywhere.

I realize this is one of the more popular questions, but it's asked by a different person each time...

If it's ever going to happen, these are the times when the world is just beggining to become more connected to itself... any later and i imagine it never will happen.

Brace yourself.

If so, how can you say that the Bible is a sacred book?
The guys that wrote it were just like you and me, ordinary human beings, living in a time of extreme ignorance and superstition and the Bible reflects that. God has never spoke to them like he has never spoke to you, because he does not exist outside your imagination, and what they wrote was the result of a very wild imagination with a flavour of ignorance.

If Heaven is the ultimate reward for all our "hard work" here on earth....then why is it we fear death so much? Why do we cling to our physical existence if the afterlife is so much more glorious?
