Ok, here's wut happened...

I went to an ice cream party my friend invited me 2 2night. The party was orgunized by a christian orgunization/youth group. But my dad is Jewish (my mom is Christian, & i am being raised Jewish.) I believe heavily in my faith, & i DON'T beleive in convertion of any kind. I had so much fun at the party & many of my friends were there. I new that there would be something Christian about the party, & they ended up speding 5min. talking about Jesus and stuff. I was very respectful and polite during this time, i sat there and listened. It didn't influence me to convert and become Christian. My father wasn't happy i had fun at the party, when he was driving me there he was "making fun" of me almost by saying stuff like "if it's at a church we're leaving!" etc. It was very hurtful, since many(most) of my friends are Christian & my mom is Christian. My mom understood that i was not influenced by the party & was happy i had fun. But my dad...

After the Great Flood, the planet was a waterworld, all mixed together, and hence it was salty. How did Noah rescue all the countless thousands of species of freshwater fish? Did he build aquariums out of wood?

Here's an interesting question: How much fresh water is needed to support a single fresh water fish? The answer is 1 gallon per inch of fish is the standard amount.

Forget animals, fresh water fish would take up FAR more of the total weight of the Ark, even if they'd been juvenile fish. Fresh water trout need cold water -- like 50 degrees, Tropical fish need a water temperature around 80 degrees. Did he have hand cranked refrigeration units and heaters?

2 Kings 2:23,24
23And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. (KJV)

What do you think are the reasons why you are still here?

I'll start: When I was 19 I tried by ODing after a fight I had with my boyfriend. I think the reason I am still here is because I was meant to heal and help others through my experiences...

His well-to-do friends refuse to attend, begging off with all sorts of excuses, so the man sends his servants out into the highway to invite beggars to his feast.
The story does have another chapter, however. The servants are told to offer each beggar a clean wedding garment, so they will feel and look respectable at his feast.
But one guy, wanting to show his spite, told them where they could shove their clean white robe. "They told me to come as I am," he shouted, "and now they can take me just as I am, or throw me out!"
So, they threw him out.
You will find this story in Matthew 22:2-14.
My question-
What do you think the Lord was trying to teach with this parable?

Today, there are about 6,500,000,000 people in the world. If the Great Flood occured in around 2345 BC, are there enough generations, assuming everyone is a descendent of Noah and his wife, to account for the current population?

(my kid suggested this question, so don't blame me if you don't like it)

You keep asking for proof, but when Christians share our testimonies about how God has changed our lives or how He has intervened in trying times, you completely discount those testimonies. Do you REALLY believe that millions of Christians throughout history just imagined the things that God has done for us? Aren't there too many of these testimonies to completely discount them? You accuse Christians of being close minded, refusing to accept proof of evolution, but aren't you doing the same thing to the proof that we offer?

as the modern age of the world continues, as technology and modern science advance and learn more of our world and who we are, does anyone think that eventually religion will cease to be and the whole entire world will become atheist, living in an atheistic world?

Noah might have had the biggest boat, but you bet your bottom dollar that there would have been plenty of other boats carrying people (not to mention an entire planet's worth of floating trees and other debris) Or did God strike them all down with lightning bolts?

Why would everyone drown in the Great Flood except for Noah's clan? Why couldn't fisherman simply launch their boats into the rising water?

Your thoughts?

Why do animals adopt even orphaned children of different species whilst humans let orphanages overflow with their "unwanted offspring"?

Why are animals better people than human beings are?
