"Mary is truly 'Mother of God' since she is the mother of the eternal Son of God made man, who is God himself" (Catechism of the Catholic Church #509). "In fact, the One whom she conceived as man by the Holy Spirit, who truly became her Son according to the flesh, was none other than the Father's eternal Son, the second person of the Holy Trinity. Hence the Church confesses that Mary is truly 'Mother of God' (Theo-tokos)" 7 (Catechism of the Catholic Church #495).

Mary's title "Mother of God" is inseparable from Christ's two essential titles, "Son of God" and "Son of Man"; to deny Mary her title is to deny Christ his. To deny that Mary is the Mother of God is either to deny Christ's divinity (that is, to deny that Mary's Son is God) or to deny his Incarnation (that is, to deny that God really became Mary's Son). And these two doctrines, of Christ's divinity and Incarnation, are two of the earliest and most central of all Christian dogmas.

How can you deny Mary?

Rev 12: 1-5: A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven; an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron sceptre. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.

Here is a Bible passage that shows Mary crowned in heaven. She wears a heavenly crown of twelve stars. A crown plainly denotes Queenship.

How much more clearly could Mary's honour be illustrated?

Seriously....evolution is not an atheistic notion. There are the devout religious who accept evolution and strong-atheists who do not. Why make that leap in logic to equate evolutionism to atheism?!

The Christian churches drew up several creeds, The Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed. Why do you suppose the church felt it necessary to draw up these statements of faith??? It is always good to try and understand why we believe what we believe.......any answers tonight ??

never to trim their beards
never to eat shellfish
never to wear mixed clothes
never to sit near a menstrating woman
never to get a tattoo
never to wear clothes of the opposite sex ( no shirts and slacks ladies )

This is a hypothetical that goes out to everyone, regardless of whether or not you are religious or whatever religion you may be.

If you died and appeared before an angel and he gave you the two following options, which would you choose and why?

Oblivion--to be complete wiped out of existence. You will no longer be.
Judgment--to appear before God and be judged. This judgment will result in either an eternity in Heaven or eternity in Hell. We all know the difference. To clarify, Heaven is a place of pure joy and eternal happiness and love, where Hell is a place of eternal despair, loneliness, and torture--something far worse than nothingness.

This judgment is not based on your faith or religion, but what kind of person you are. If you are an overall good person who has done good in your life, then it will be Heaven. If you are a bad person who has committed much evil and are dishonest and selfish, then it will be Hell.

So which is it, and why?

Everything that we learned in modern science recently, and by recently i mean from like 300 years ago till now, Muslims knew 1400 years ago?

think about it:

This is proven so don't BS about this being a lie, but if you take a page or the ink from the oldest Quran in the world to see how old it is, it's 1400 years old and the words are exactly the same as the fresh Quran Books being printed 2day.

Muslims 1400 years ago knew that

-The earth is round!
-How the water cycle works
-The moon reflects light from the sun
-How babies are born

all these things among others are explained in the Quran and Hadith exactly as explained in school textbooks, I could name more things but the list would be waaaaaaaaaay too long.

Also

Christianity - Christ
Judaism - Juda
Hinduism - Hind
Buddhism - Buddha
Islam - Muhammad

notice something? all these religions are named after their founders EXCEPT Islam, Islam and Muhammad don't even have the same meaning.

any comments?

Many people interpret the American constitution to say that while you have freedom OF religion, you do not have freedom FROM religion.
So would 'undecided' be the get out clause (after all it's a big decision and you wouldn't want to get it wrong, would you)?

bible version from John:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. now Atheists, i just cannot believe how you can neglect such wise words that stands in the bible, do you really think that the bible was made up by drunk retards? howcome then that in that time - when people did not had the same intelect as now on daily life-, can come with such great and inspiring tellings of how earth was created?

How, in your own interpretation, is this significant?

I know that some of you muslims will probably say something like "it's not significant at all. it's only important that he was the last prophet of God, who gave us an example to set our life by." this is also true, of course, but i like to think that everything about this great man is significant in some way, as he was chosen by God as the final prophet.

hateful comments from intolerant non-muslims are not welcome here. just a reminder.

I just read a christian's question, if she should watch a movie because it has 10 bad words in it. Many answers were "do not watch it!"

I think everyone is hearing bad words in every day life and there is no way to avoid it while living in a society and not isolated. And I don't think it does any harm hearing some words (especially since someone like her is most likely to never use them anyway).

What do you think about it?

I saw a butterfly trapped in a spider's web, fluttering for its life.I broke the cobweb and it fell to the ground, still with the spider on top of it.

I flicked the spider off, then the butterfly's middle part raised up like a caterpillar and twitched horribly. Its wings were flapping furiously and I thought to myself that I should kill it to put it out of its suffering, but I just couldn't do it.

It was a horrible thing to watch, should I have killed it?
Isn't it wrong to kill?

What would you have done?
