Freedom OF religion includes the freedom not to have a religion. It also includes the right to not have the religious views of others imposed upon oneself.
Unfortunately, this essential concept is meaningless in the US since jesus freaks=easily convinced voting bloc & easy money for politicians willing to pander to them.

God granted us a rational mind. I was once 'undecided' too. I became disillusioned with fundamentalist Christianity and so had a brief spell as an agnostic. Then I came to realise that all the religions are teaching the same thing. So if you are undecided it might mean that you are working things out, which is healthy. If you pray, God will guide you to the path which is right for you.

i will handle the 1st 'extra info' in my answer. church homes help the forcing of religion upon its members' little ones. my own mother and father, while becoming members of a Presbyterian church, had to take a vow to 'enhance their little ones in faith'. i do no longer understand what you recommend via 'older', yet for this reason i might call it 'old sufficient to think of for your self'. If my mother and father stopped attempting to transform me, they might certainly the two be introduced before the elders or punished in front of the congregation. sure, if I ever have teenagers i would not prepare them approximately any gods. an identical way i would not prepare them approximately Santa or the Easter Bunny (we'd nonetheless have fun trip journeys, only with out any fictional characters). sure, in the event that they asked me something like "how did human beings get right here?", i might clarify evolution to them. yet once I had a teenager who needed to prepare Wicca, Judaism, or the rest (that would not be risky, of direction!), they might have finished suitable to. i would not forbid them from attending a church or such a issues, as many Christian mother and father do while their little ones have different ideals. EDIT: in line with the addition approximately homosexuals: For the "Christians can't prepare so secularism is being forced upon me" comments... There are approximately 5 states that do enable Christian church homes. lower back, you have a call. heavily, that's how stupid it sounds. Homosexuals are human beings too, and that they ought to have each and each suitable that each and all of us ought to have.

Undecided is a good response, if your still open to some type of future proof of God's existence. I don' t think you will ever get proof, if you are looking for science to come up with it. Science is limited to our normal senses, and can not go into the spiritual realm with their techniques. Science would like to believe it had no limits, just like religions have tended to believe in the past, and some still do to some extent. Spiritual senses, like intuition, are required to relate to the spiritual realm and to God.

I would not say undecided because I have most definitely decided. I reject all religion. Well, except maybe Buddhism. If I were forced to have one I'd be an atheist Buddhist.

If you don't have freedom from religion, how can you have freedom of religion?
If you are not free from having a religion forced upon you (freedom from religion), it makes no sense to say you can choose what religion to follow.

if you have none... none is the right answer... freedom of religion is meant to be a stepping stone to freedom from religion... NONE is the only right response... for if the truth is not an available option then you have to accept that the US isn't as free as it claims...

I don't understand the question, Atheists may be discriminated against, but they're not THAT discriminated against. There's always the OTHER category, which I've had to use for years, what are you bitching about?
