ME!!!!!!!! Why should I apologize (or ask you to "excuse" me - same as asking you to forgive me) for my body's functions? I was born with the ability to belch. Deal with it.

There is more than one society in which a belch is a signal to the hosts that a good and filling meal was had. Graciousness requires it. You just happen to live in a society which denies the customs other assert.

A Fundamentalist Christian.
They don't have to say excuse me. God knows what's in their heart. Anyone who has to say excuse me after belching is not a true Christian.
