Paul said, "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food; but God will destroy both it and them" ( 1 Cor 16:13 ).

On this basis , some cults - including New Agers and Jehovah's Witnesses- argue that the resurrection body will not have the anatomy or physiology of the preresurrection body ( Things in Which it is Impossible for God to Lie, 1965,354 )

I'm seriously, not an adult, and I have no clue what's going on in politics and society... I hear too many people today saying that the world is doomed and etc.

Basically if you can, please fill me in.

My Church is considering ordaining openly gay people. It is also considering blessing the unions of same sex couples. This has, of course, casued a massive debate with the church. But let's be clear here: the church I belong to is faithful to the scriptures in every other way. It is only on this point where such disagreements over interpretation exist.

Would you still consider us a Christian church if we decide to do these things?

I was baptized 3 weeks ago(and 2 days), I'm 18.

When I got baptized the branch president told me that Sunday I would get the HS, priesthood, and entered into the quorum as a prospective elder.

Well I only got the HS, and then someone told me they usually give converts the priesthood 3 weeks after the confirmation...

Is that true? If so, will I get it tomorrow? If it's not true, then when will I get it and how will I know?

HELP! ME UNDERSTAND, I AM NEWLY BAPTISED, I READ THE BIBLE, DAILY, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I HAD AWAKEN WITH ONLY 4 HOURS OF REST DUE TO A STRESSFUL DAY. FOR THE FIRST EVER, IN MY LIFE, I WOKE WITH A FEELING OF STESS, ANIXITY AS IF SOMETHING HAD JUST HAPPEND, OR IS ON ITS WAY. AFTER CHECKING OUR HOME , FINDING NOTHING WRONG , I SAT DOWN BY MYSELF , MY WIFE ASLEEP, MY MIND BLANK, AND HEARD IN MY HEAD " MY SON, DO NOT FOLLOW THIS RAIL" ) I SPENT THE DAY IN PRAYER
READING THE BIBLE, AND STILL GOT NO ANSWERS, WORKED AT EVERYTHING AND ALL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS, TO SEE IF ANY DIRECTION WOULD GIVE ME RELEIF FROM THE FEELING I WAS MEANT TO DO SOMETHING. THIS AFTERNOON, I HAD ANOTHER THOUGHT COME IN TO MY MIND " THE YOUNGEST STAR BURNS BRIGHTEST" THIS SOUNDED AS IF SOMEONE WAS LAUGHTING AT ME, I HAVE NOT FELT WELL ALL DAY LONG, THE FEELING OF STRESS, WHICH IS NOT MY NORMAL SELF, HAS NOT LEFT ME,I CANT SHAKE THIS AND NO GUIDNESS, HAS COME TO ME. I AM NORMALLY A VERY CALM EASY GOING PERSON

The NWT ( New World Translation ) renders Romas 10:13,
" Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved. " Jehovah's Witnesses cite this verse in arguing for the necessity of using God's proper name, Jehovah, in attaining salvation ( Reasoning from the Scriptures, 1989, 149 )

Did anyone create God the Son? Or was he always there? I have always wondered about this.

This is a dilema I've thought about for a long time. I myself do place my faith in science.

Here are 3 statements:

1. God is omnipotent.
2. God is ominibenevolent.
3. Evil exists in the universe.

Obviously, all 3 cannot be true.

If 1 is false, then god is both absolutely good, but lacks the necessary power to fight evil.

If 2 is false. If god has the power to eradicate evil, yet he didn't, then he is not always benevolent.

The last statement cannot be false, becuase evil does exist in the universe, sadly.

Please tell me your thoughts, and please forgive me if I have somehow offended you.

No?

The right answer lies within your Bible. How good of a student of the Word are you?

"These books denigrate Christianity, thrash the Catholic Church and sell the virtues of atheism," said Bill Donohue, president and CEO of the Catholic League.

Atheists don't really get upset over Christians themed movies... so why all the controversy?

A woman came on here asking what she should do for her situation. She did not mention physical abuse, although he could have been doing that too from what else she mentioned (sounded like rage, alcohol, something else, or a combo going on). I suspected it is possible that if he was not already that he would soon from it. I just wanted to punch his face or get a baseball bat to him.
My husband used to abuse me physically and is on medicine currently. I am still having trouble with getting over that & all the people who believed him over me (like that I deserved it or that I was doing bad). I have already tried counseling & etc. & antidepressant in the past when we had money & now I just don't see much point with me taking medicine unless it will make me forget completely. Counselors may be okay to talk to though as long as I don't go through the same but I am wary of them too.
Is it so wrong & immoral for me to feel so mean towards other people's spouses when they are being abused?

I'm a Christian, however, I think I don't have a strong belief in God. Yesterday, I told my religious teacher about it, and he asked me a question : "Define Christianity ? If you can answer that question, you should understand more about yourself."
Can you be in details ? Because I don't want just a superficial answer, what I'm looking for is a serious and straight-forward answer.

I actually have an answer, but I want to ask you guys for your opinions. If you were me, how would you answer it ?

P.S. : Can you be specific and details ? 'Cause I'm looking for a serious and straight-forward answers, so please be specific.

Jesus said in John 14:28, "Father is greater than I." The Jehovah's Wtnesses say this verse proves that Jesus is a lesser god than the Father. Because Jehovah is "greater" than Jesus, Jesus cannot be God Almighty. ( Let God Be True, 1946,110 )

And according to another cult group " Christian Science ", this verse proves that Jesus is not God, but an imparttion of Him," just as "one ray of light is light, and it is one with light, but not the full-orbetsun" ( Eddy, 1901, 8 )

Science teaches abiogenesis. But they say we have no idea how it happened but we know it did. Atheists accept this. When asked questions about something in the Bible and we say we don't know how it happened but we know it did. We are ridiculed. Is there really any difference between the two positions?

Does anyone realize that Rick Warren has ties to Robert Schuller and quotes Bernie Siegel and Neale Donald Walsch? Look it up. And research it. God warns us to beware especially in these last days. Satan is always coming up with new ways to lead us away from the Truth.

If I was an eskimo during the Great Flood, I could just carve a cave along the side of the iceberg. Bingo! instant shelter from wind, and rain. Actually, all I'd need to do is stretch a seal skin ceiling across a few logs, or blocks of ice and I'd have a rain proof shelter.

There's plenty of fresh water for drinking (after it stopped raining for 40 days i could melt ice). Plenty of fish in the ocean to eat. Survivability seems quite possible in this case. In addition, huge icebergs take years to melt, even in the hot sun.

Your thoughts?
