Salvation!.....Baptism like in the Movie " Oh brother Where Art Thou''.....a cool scene... Where they are all singing the song...''Let's all go down to the River and Pray'' as there walking down to the river all dressed in white for the Baptism........Me and my family was baptized in a simular way....It was in the Buffalo River in Arkansas back in 97'.

I'm just a Country boy at heart....I think i would have fit in much better back in the olden days....Except maybe.. for the out spoken part of me..lol

Thought i would share! bye sis

I am from Germany and in Europe the churches are much older and different looking from the ones over here. So the first thing I picture is one of those old roman churches or cathedrals.
But I also think of the church being us Christians , because the church is really us, we are the church , it is inside of us or should be and we carry it wherever we go.

Safe haven. For me, church is a place where I can go and leave everything with God. Problems, worries, fears all seem to disappear when I'm there because I feel very close to Him in worship and I know He's taking care of things in my life.

Before I get 10,000 thumbs down, "you too Christians" was included in this question!! :)

I'm only answering it truthfully.

An assembling of God's people. It is the body of Christ. Each member has a purpose. We assemble to worship and grow spiritually strong.

Church is derived from CIRCE the holy whore whose "grave" John could see from Patmos.

This includes more PERFORMANCE ROLES for women to "authorize" the ILLEGAL performance roles ACTED OUT (as rhetoricians, sOPHISts (sorcerers, serpents), singers and musicians). These are the PARASITE$ condemned by Jesus.

The smell hits my nose when I hear it or think it. It's a really weird nauseating smell. The same smell is in most churches. I've been in many across the U.S. I have always wondered what that smell is. Ugh! I smell it! Thanks. I wonder how long till it goes away. haha

The furthest I have ever found the etymology of the world "CHURCH" traced to is the name for pagan temples in EGYPT,,,, therefore we do not call our meeting halls 'churches'.
