I would not personally consider your church to be a christian church. You say that they are faithful to follow scripture in every other way but your church needs to follow scripture in every way period.

To marry someone who wouldn't have sex with me would not make experience to me. If a lady changed into sexually interested in both genders, changed into sexually interested in me, and had the beliefs and personality so as that i might want to believe her to be sexually committed, loved me, and turned right into a Christian; i'd do not have any problem marrying her if I loved her. As someone who has a heritage in psychology, i imagine that that's more advantageous precise to communicate of folk with similar gender sexual charm and persons with opposite gender sexual charm, really than communicate about homosexuals and heterosexuals. I also imagine that utilising those words enables us to imagine more advantageous obviously about the problem. really, i'm no longer certain that the Bible says that similar gender sexual charm is a sin. It does say that performing on that charm is a sin. The Bible also says that having sex with the different gender is likewise a sin if the guy isn't your significant different. You ask an excellant question.

You stated in your question that the church is faithful in every other way.
A church should be faithful to the scriptures period.
The leaders of the church are putting their desires ahead of Gods.
Whats going to go next?
This is not a matter of gay people in the congregation, its a matter of a practicing gay person in leadership.
That is not a matter open to interpretation it is open rebellion.
That is a Christian church only in name.

I belong to a denomination (United Church of Canada) that decided to ordain and marry homosexuals. I don't find it suffered any in its Christianity. To me that's the beauty of protestant churches; if you don't like the doctrinal decisions, you can walk down the street to the next church.
I would definitely consider yours a Christian church, just one with a liberal theology and welcoming. I find churches that essentially are prejudiced toward homosexuals (despite the legalistic arguments about doctrine or loving homosexuals by forcing them to face their "abomination") as being in contradiction of the commandment to love one another.
I also feel strongly, given Jesus' notoriety for associating with prostitutes, tax collectors, lepers, etc, that He would have no problem accepting homosexuals into His church!! Just what kind of stewarts of His Great Commission are churches that condemn homosexuals?

I'm glad you are asking about your church and not your Chucho. I was wondering what a Chucho is and was afraid to ask! It doesn't matter what anyone thinks if God does not bless it then it will be dead church and you might as well spend your time in the bar having fun rather than be in a Dead church that's not annointed by God because you are going against his word. Hey you asked, that's my belief.

No absolutely not. Your church is compromising the word of God. The bible makes it very clear that this is an abomination in the eyes of God. Your church and it's members will be damned for it.

homosexuals have just as much right as heterosexuals to worship, and chose their religion as they see fit. Are they not allowed to ask the god of their choice into their hearts as well?? According to what I have been taught about Jesus, he would love them and embrace them no matter what their sins were.
